Hi all, I found this great Blog Post about using ICTs in education or more to the point Facebook. It makes great examples of how to use it in your teaching and the benifits of using it.
One possible approach to the problem of students using phones in class. Not such a great fan of it and then one of the comments offers the solution that I imagine quite a few students adopting

Found this guy's channel while trying to learn more about google docs. He has a number of videos explaining how to use various technology in the classroom. Might be useful for those of use trying to get our head around what we can use, when and how.
There's a OECD report going around at the moment that suggests that computers do not improve pupil results. This post comments on that report and suggests there are some major questions about it's ability to draw that conclusion. Not to mention the fact that asking whether "computers improve pupil results" is the wrong question.
