Why use only one app at a time for lessons? In this webinar, we will show you how to use a range of apps, from Safari through to Skitch and iMovie. We will explain how to join the dots and build great classroom activities by creating and gathering content, and moving it between apps for a great end result. The principles, workflow, and concepts covered can be applied to all learning levels and subjects. We will show how to produce engaging lesson activities and project-based works that draw on the strengths of the iPad and a wide variety of skills.

Cloud Print is a free Android app that allows you to wirelessly print from your Android devices. Cloud Print works by syncing your devices to the Google Cloud Print service. You will have to set up Google Cloud Printing on at least one computer in order to take advantage of the Cloud Print app.

It was sparked by Ruth Clark's article "Why Games Don't Teach." The article kicked off a firestorm of debate, demands for proof and even name calling. Christy Tucker addresses the question in her post. There is a healthy discussion on the eLearning Guild's LinkedIn group. In Guy Wallace's post on the subject, he quotes Dr. Richard Clark talking about the "ideologically committed gamester." (ok, so its mild name calling, but still….)

About this MoodleMeet  The focus of this moodlemeet is investigating what current research offers teachers and others to develop effective online courses. The Department has provided these templates to assist school communities to develop agreements as to what constitutes acceptable use of internet, Ultranet, netbooks and other online and digital technologies in their communities. These agreement are templates. Schools can add and/or delete information where necessary to make them relevant to their school environment. It is recommended that teachers work through the behaviours described in the agreement (Part B) with their students and send a copy home for students to share and discuss with their parents

Internet safety and education is always at the forefront of my mind when I work with technology in the classroom.  It is therefore important for me to have my parents have an understanding and some control over their child's work and image as it relates to usage and access.  Today, with the help of my amazing PLN (personal learning network) I wrote the letter and consent form I will be giving to all of my families.  Since I know many others are also in the process of creating something similar, I thought I should share what I have.
