It gets some time to get used to using them, but then it makes work easier and helps students clarify what they need to improve. They are really useful!

It's a free visual bookmarking tool. It helps you compile and organise sites under a specific topic. You can share your symbaloo with your students and help them navigate only on specific sites rather than the whole web. You can also add ready-made webmixes by other teachers.

About gamification in classrooms, an interesting website

I tried a similar approach two years ago with high school adolescents when by chance I discovered Sheldon's book: 'The Multiplayer Classroom: Designing Coursework as a Game' (2011) http://goo.gl/7NBlhj . Results then were not as expected, maybe because of my students profile, maybe because of my personal adaptation. Having discovered Classcraft, I'll see if the graphic environment and mechanics fills the gap I couldn't make attractive enough to cover with my own improvised adaptations through PowerPoint slides.

Learn the basics of the JavaScript programming language. Create an interactive animation of your own name. A did this activity with a few Year 4 students (8/9 years old). Codecademy has lots of interactive learn to code examples, older students or students needing extension activities could use the Python tutorial.
