Wonder if any of those no-doubt steamy phone conversations between Marilyn and JFK made it in there? I'm guessing the 'steamy' section of the JFK recordings might be kinda large...

JOG THE WEB is a web-based tool that allows anyone to create a synchronous guide to a series of web sites. Its step by step approach of taking viewers through web sites allowing the author to annotate and ask guiding questions for each page is unique.

Vincent Van Gogh's 902 letters from and to him, now available online freely. The National Museum of American History is engaged in a long-term project to create the first publicly accessible, annotated online edition of William Steinway's remarkable diary. This first installment of the Web site includes Edwin M. Good's complete transcription of all 2,500 pages of the Diary alongside high-resolution scans of each handwritten page.

This site contains material uploaded by users so could often be unreliable but I've found a few gems here. It also might be a good way to share your stuff... Although if you want to get $$$ for that TeachersPayTeachers would probably be better.

This site looks really elementary, but DON'T be fooled! This company has units for various History subject areas (world, american, gov't, etc) that are based around activities AND taking lessons learned in the activities and making higher order thinking connections. I"m probably not doing the best job annotating this - but i will say this, I have one of the units and my students go NUTS over the activities and with their debriefing worksheets and discussion questions, my students really "get" the concepts and retain the learning.

A brilliant example of how to use Diigo with a class. We wouldn't be able to do this given the restrictions we have on assessment, yet the way annotations are used as student discussion is inspiring. Some great analysis on Bronze Age sources (which my students struggle to find).
