The final videos can all be found here.  I hesitate to embed any in the post because I know I would be prone to pick the "best" one.  Please click on the link and randomly select one to watch! There are two pages of videos-and hey-leave a comment or a thumbs up!  I have to say, that after watching the kids make these, the final products just don't reflect the amount of work that is needed.  What I mean is that you shouldn't watch them and say "My kids could do that in a couple of days."  It took 360 minutes of class time to produce those 1-2 minute videos!! One thing I wished we had done is to write transitions so that the different videos linked together better.  I inadvertently led them to make videos on topics that come across as standing alone in time instead of being influenced and apart of other events and movements. Redraw the map on redistricting. Legislators have long used redistricting as an opportunity to select their constituents, rather than empowering voters to elect their representatives. The redistricting following the 2010 Census is an opportunity to change how the process is conducted. Armed with knowledge and the right tools, the public can redraw the map on redistricting.

In April 1847, a group of pioneers left Omaha, Nebraska and headed west. Their group consisted of 147 men, three women, and two children. Their journey would cover more than 1,000 miles, and cross the Rocky Mountains. This small group would pave the way for more than 70,000 people to make the same journey. On Monday, April 5, 2010 you can start following the same journey as volunteers reenact the 1847 Pioneer Trek via Twitter. More info at http://twhistory.org/1847-pioneer-trek/. The TwHistory project began in early 2009 with the first Twitter reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg over a period of several weeks. Later that year a high school class reenacted the Cuban Missile Crisis. TwHistory is based on the idea that historical reenactments can take place online and have positive effects for all involved. In school settings these virtual reenactments can increase engagement while providing opportunities for students to research personal journals and other primary source documents. Na noite de ontem (26/10/2011), o clipe-montagem System of a Dilma alcançou os trending topics do Twitter. O vídeo mistura o clipe Chop Suey da banda armeno-americana System of a Down e um discurso de Dilma e Lula às vésperas das eleições presidenciais de 2010. Não sei se a intenção dos autores: FAROFF e Xandelay @djfaroff @xandelay foi apenas humor ou se eles quiseram fazer uma homenagem, mas o fato é que o vídeo ficou muito bem feito e foram escolhidas frases bem bonitas do discurso. Posto abaixo o video-montagem, o clipe Chop Suey original e por fim um dos meus clipes preferidos dessa banda: BOOM! em que aparecem cenas dos protestos mundiais contra a guerra do Iraque.
