It also gives pros and cons of each. How this influenced my thinking: I didn't realize there were so many options available with a hospital birth. Credibility of Source: The article was from Web M.D. so i think it is very credible.

It talks about pregnancy, things to consider, possible locations for birth, and methods for birth. How This Influenced My Thinking: I hadn't realized how many different birth methods there were. Credibility of Source: It seems credible, the article is very informative and the website has a lot information on women's health

Title: Should I Get A Divorce? Author: Amy Desai Date Published: 2006-2007 Why Relevant and Summary: This article give the viewpoint from a Christian worldview, in which options other than divorce are evaluated. It warns of the long-lasting effects an emotional judgment may not take the time to contemplate. How This Influenced My Thinking: This whole Focus on the Family site has great resources and ideas for those in marital distress. Credibility of Source: 6- Expert in the field but not clear citing of resources.

Title: Baby Delight Author: unknown Date Published: 2013 Why Relevant & Summary: Upon studying the benefits but potential dangers of cosleeping, I was interested in how I could find a safe way to cosleep with my baby that would give me a feeling of safety but also the closeness I'd like to have with my baby. This product is simple, there are two different models, but basically allow baby the safety of sleeping with mom and dad while being close. How This Influenced My Thinking: Knowing the potential dangers of cosleeping, I would encourage friends and family to consider this option for their baby, and for myself in the future. How This Influenced My Thinking: I was never aware of cosleeping, at least to the extent with which it can occur. I was educated on the risks of cosleeping, which I never knew were possible. I was also introduced to SIDs. Credibility of Source: Source written by a doctor.

Emphasis on what is safe and other options if you can't do what they show you How This Influenced My Thinking: made me think about ways to adapt exercises for older people Credibility of Source: ok, no credentials shown, but good information.

How This Influenced My Thinking: It helped me get a better understanding of what went on in each stage of our life, including middle adulthood. Credibility of Source: Seems credible

Title: Teen Pregnancy Statistics Author: No Author Date Published: 2013 Why relevant and summary: These statistics are very astonishing. It gives statistics of teenage pregnancies, sexual intercourse, marriage. How it affected my thinking: These statistics blew me away. I honestly though there were not that many teenagers having sex at an early age, I thought many teenagers had their first intercourse when they were at least 17 years old, but according to the statistics there are teenagers whom are having intercourse at the young age of 12 and 3. Credibility: seems credible since its from a teen website.

This article talked about why women choose to have homebirths, the cases where it would not be recommended and how to prepare for a homebirth How it influenced my thinking: It didn't change my thinking, but it was a good reference and confirmed some of the things that I said.

In a study from the Center for Disease and Control, 1,500 women were surveyed their plans for exclusive breastfeeding after birth of their incoming child, 85% of the women stated they planned to exclusively breastfeed, while only 32% of those moms actually were able to after birth, "..and that just shows that we're not supporting mothers to be able to feed their babies in ways they'd like". American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization recommend that women breastfeed exclusively for the first six months of babies lives due to the health benefits. Infants that are breastfed have reduced risk of ear infections, gastrointestinal infections, diabetes and sudden infant death syndrome. Mothers who breastfeed have reduced risk of breast and ovarian cancer. In order to improve the breastfeeding rate, it is important that in the first days of an infant's life s/he can stay with their mother for the first 24 hours of life in the hospital to receive exclusively breast milk. How This Influenced My Thinking: I learned about the benefits of breastfeeding, and the large impact it has on babies' development. Credibility of Source: Very credible.
