The much-awaited animation project Mahabharat is set to hit the theatres soon, and the exciting news about the same is that Anil Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai are the latest addition to the list of cast in the ambitious film. While Anil has lent his voice to the character of Karna, Manoj has dubbed for Yudishtir's character. The renowned actors were recently seen at the Future Works Studio in Andheri and the film's producer Jayantilal Gada confirmed their addition to the cast. "Both Anil and Manoj have shown full commitment. It was very gracious on their part to agree to impart voices to two very important characters in my film," he said. Anil completed his task in 15 days, while Manoj’s work was done in just 4 days. "Anil gave a lot to my film. Despite his hectic schedule, he took time off to come to the dubbing studio for more than two weeks," added Gada.For those unaware, the film already has a star-studded cast of voices with Amitabh Bachchan (Bheeshma Pitamah), Vidya Balan (Draupadi), Sunny Deol (Bheem) and Ajay Devgn (Arjun). However, the makers are yet to zero upon for a voice for the villain of the epic, Duryodhan.It is learnt that the makers are planning to release the film this Diwali, but a clash with Krrish 3 is not in their minds. Gada said "No we're not going to clash with Hrithik Roshan's film, we'll release a week before or later, but in the festive season."Hope the film do wonders at the box-office!

Upcoming film Khoobsurat will be a family entertainment that has Sonam Kapoor as its leading lady, Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor as its producers. It would be produced by The Walt Disney Studios and proud father Anil said it is going to be a happy venture.“My daughters have grown up watching Disney movies, so it's exciting to see this collaboration. We have worked hard on the script and are sure the film will have universal appeal,” said Anil Kapoor, who is currently enthralling TV audience with his debut show 24 on Colors channel.Talking about the upcoming family production film, Khoobsurat has just gone on floors in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It revolves around Mili (Sonam), a vivacious girl who turns the lives of a royal family upside down. For the film, Sonam, who is known for his fashion has gone to adopt a de-glam look. About the film she said, “When you look at Walt Disney's life, his whole purpose was to entertain people and make them happy. And, in this film, Mili makes things happy and Khoobsurat.”Disney UTV’s Managing Director Siddharth Roy Kapur, further added, “The script is endearing and entertaining... it will be a fun experience for the whole family.”Khoobsurat will also see Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aamir Raza Hussain and being directed and  written by ad-filmmaker Shashank Ghosh. It is scheduled to hit theatres in mid-2014.

In the past we have seen Chetan Bhagat’s books making it big whenever adapted for silver screen. There has been screen-adaptation of his books like Five Point Someone (3 Idiots) One Night At A Call Centre (Hello), Three Mistakes of My Life (Kai Po Che), and 2 States is still under the production.And now, the latest buzz has that another of his book will be adapted on big screen. This time Bhagat has teamed up with Disney UTV, for his latest bestseller Revolution 2020, which is to be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. For those unaware, the novel talks down the lives of three childhood friends, Gopal, Raghav and Aarti."It is an intense love story set against the backdrop of corruption in the education sector, which affects millions across the country. I can't wait for the three characters to be cast and brought to life," said Bhagat. On his part, Raj Kumar says, "When I read the novel, I was quite moved. It is a very simple and heartfelt story about being young, being confused, being in love, getting corrupt... I am looking forward to writing and directing this book for the screen."Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV, adds, "We are excited to have played the catalyst in bringing Chetan and Raj Kumar together. Chetan had shared the draft of his book with us even before it was published and we instantly reacted to its cinematic potential. It has an incredibly well-graphed storyline and the issues it deals with are those that today's youth will instantly relate to and identify with." The screenplay of the film is currently underway and is expected to go on floors mid-2014.

Recently, when she travelled New York, she was spotted rubbing shoulders with Ashanti, the R&B songstress, who is rather known for her risqué sartorial choices than her music. Priyanka was making her presence felt at the opening of a nightclub in Manhattan, when she encountered Ashanti. Despite the first meet, they appeared to be quite friendly with each other, and quickly struck up a conversation and then happily posed for the shutterbugs. Meanwhile, if we speak of her Bollywood career, she would be seen shaking a leg in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Ramleela, where she has donned a white choli and dhoti with a thigh high slit.Choreographed by Prabhu Deva's brother Vishnu Dev, the item number was shot in the Film City Studios. Impressed with Priyanka's dancing skills, Vishnu tweeted: “Ram leela 2nd song finished with Priyanka she is fabulous dancer and fun working with her.”The film features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as its leading stars, and also stars Richa Chadda, Supriya Pathak, Gulshan Devaiah, Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh, Shweta Salve, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and Sharad Kelkar.

Tigmanshu Dhulia brings Saif Ali Khan back with bang, as he stars in the former’s upcoming film Bullett Raja. Speaking on the association, Dhulia says, "I worked with Soha Ali Khan on Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns and I'm sure she spoke to her brother about this script. Saif, in turn, expressed a desire to work together. To have an actor with a vernacular image playing this role would have been boring.'' "I needed someone like Saif, who is charming and sophisticated, because it's more of a challenge to get him to play something the audience will not normally associate him with. My hero is not dark and intense. He is endearing and impulsive. In fact, Saif never starts a fight in the film, but he ensures he always finishes it.'' In the film, Saif is teamed up with Sonakshi Sinha. Tigmanshu says, "After years, I saw a screen couple that has the Amitabh-Rekha magic. Saif and Sona are in sharp contrast with each other and therein lies the interest factor. Hollywood actor Chris Pine revealed that to play Jack Ryan in Star Trek, he gathered advice from actor Alec Baldwin. For those unaware, initially, Pine, 33, was hesitant about signing Tom Clancy’s famous spy hero in the Jack Ryan franchise reboot.So he went to Baldwin for advice, as the latter starred in the first movie, The Hunt for Red October. "Alec and I were doing voice-overs for an animated film and sometimes we`d meet as one of us was reading or coming in. I saw him one time and I was like a kid, I was like, `Hey, I`m playing Jack Ryan, do you have any advice`?" Pine said."He just grabbed me by the shoulder and said, `Do it. Do it. And don`t let go`. Because he obviously, famously, left to do A Streetcar Named Desire on Broadway," he added. Pine worked really hard for the film, and didn’t come up with simple approach. "I would have been happy making Marathon Man or The French Connection. I would have done a long, slow action-free film and been very, very happy. That`s my personal leaning, but it is 2013 and you`d get a geriatric audience if you didn`t have some kind of fight stuff in there," Pine said."So between my reticence about making it too much like Bourne and Bond, and the inclinations of the studio to make it just that, I do hope we found some place in the middle," he added.We’re glad to say that you prove your mettle very well!

Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who rarely gets to see in Hindi films, recently appeared in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action thriller Bullett Raja opposite Saif Ali Khan  and Jimmy Shergil. He says he is a big fan of Tigmanshu’s films and was surprised when he called him for a role in his film.“My jaw dropped when I was first offered Bullett Raja. I met Tigmanshu Dhulia for the first time over dinner in Lucknow. As we were about to finish he said that I was doing his film. I was very happy to be a part of his film. I have been a big fan of him since Haasil. He makes my kind of cinema. The characters in his films are excellent,” said Ravi, who portrayed the role of a woman in Bullett Raja.He says the role was quite challenging. “This has been my most challenging role in the 22 years of my career. I have never played a woman. I also make out with a woman in the film, while wearing a sari. It's completely mad,” reveals Ravi.Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bullett Raja also features Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergil, Vidyut Jamwal and others. It was released on November 28 with mixed reviews.

Commando star Vidyut Jamwal, who recently starred in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja, has successfully impressed the audience as well as critics with his chiseled packs and high kicks. The film released on last Friday, and opened to good reviews from the critics.Even though his role was not a lengthy one in Bullett Raja, still Vidyut successfully impressed one and all. And now Vidyut is all set to take up the title of Action Hero of film industry. Quizzed why he decided to do the film despite it being a special appearance, he said, ''The driving force for Bullett Raja was Tigmanshu Dhulia. I love the way he makes movies. And I being a North Indian, I love the way he portrays the belt. Nobody else in the country does it. So when he told me I was very excited, though it was a small one.'' Excited about bring part of the film, Vidyut said, ''For me Bullett Raja was a double whammy as it is a Tigmanshu Dhulia film with action sequences.'' The film was presented by Fox Star Studios, Bullett Raja, and it starred Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kishan and Raj Babbar among others.

The ethereal Sonakshi Sinha is all set to impress the audience with her charm with upcoming release of hers, Bullett Raja, where she will be seen opposite Saif Ali Khan. The romantic number from the film, Saamne Hai Savera was released recently, and it was shot against the backdrop of the old-world charm of Kolkata. It features Victorian era heritage structures, hand-pulled rickshaws and signature trams. Experiencing it all really made Sonakshi happy and excited as she got to ride a tram there for the first time in her life. Calling it an overwhelming experience, Sonakshi says, "This tram was like 100 years, almost like a time machine. It had a very romantic feel to it and made you just want to stop and look around. It was a very 'dreamy' tram indeed, but unfortunately I'd no one to share it with."The film is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, who is also co-producing it with Nitin Tej Ahuja and Rahul Mitra. It talks about the mafia based in Uttar Pradesh, and besides Saif and Sonakshi, it features Jimmy Sheirgill, Vidyut Jammwal, Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar and Chunky Pandey. Shotgun's darling daughter, Sonakshi Sinha is playing a Bengali character in her upcoming Saif Ali Khan starrer Bullet Raja. It would be nice to see the actress portraying something different from her previous work where she mostly played similar kind of roles. Her bong girl avatar will be for a brief period in the film.Like seen in the promo, Sonakshi cladding in the conventional Bengali red-bordered saree along with big red bindi, gajra and alta on her hands, she would also be seen essaying the famous Bengali folk dance Jhumur in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action-thriller. As per the sources, “To perfect the dance form, the actress specially learnt Jhumur dance for the film.”Apart from high-octane action stunts, guns and goon, the film features a love-story of Saif and Sonakshi. It also stars actors like Vidyut Jamwal, Jimmy Shergill, Gulshan Grover in prominent roles. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bullet Raja is schedule to release on November 29.We must say, with Sonakshi putting in so much effort to perfect the dance, it'll have a lasting impression on people's minds when the film hits the big screen.
