Swara Bhaskar has become a big name in Bollywood after her role of Bindiya in successful Aanand L. Rai’s directorial Raanjhanaa. Needless to say she is enjoying the new-found success to the hilt, and is grateful that she is getting such opportunities to display her acting skills.

Hollywood actress Judi Dench, who went through the drastic surgery last month, after she had complained of chronic pain for several years, is back to action just six-weeks after the operation. The actress recently walked down the red carpet to promote her film Philomena.She recently attended the London screening of the film, and while walking through the red carpet, she didn’t need any cane or something. She says, "The scar's from here to here, there to there. I have a completely new knee now. It's brilliant. When I had it done on September 6, I said to my surgeon 'On October 16 I will walk up a red carpet unaided', and so I did. You set your mind to a goal and go for it."While speaking to the sources at the event, she revealed that she has no such plans to retire from acting, as this is the word which is banned at her house. She adds, "I'm not feeling my age at all. I am about 43, a tall willowy blonde 43-year-old with long legs. I don't want to slow down at all. We don't say the word retirement in our house. Old and retired are totally banned. Energy keeps me going."We are in the minority of people who are doing a job we chose to do and can make a living at. Why aren't we running to work every day?"Hoping here that you keep on attaining success, forever!

After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to entice the audience with his upcoming film Mirza, which has written by Gulzar. The film will star Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor, in the titular role."I found Mirza on the sets of Delhi 6," Mehra says. "I was shooting in Delhi with Sonam, and Harshvardhan just happened to be hanging around. I looked at him, and my gaze stopped. This man has a dramatic presence." Once he saw him, Mehra was all mesmerized, and went to Sonam to ask about his discovery of the day, as he was not aware that she was his sibling. "She giggled. And then she told me that he was her younger brother. At that point, I didn't know that he'd make his way as Mirza, but one thing I knew for sure - I wanted to make him act." He further reveals that after meeting Harshvardhan, they both kept in touch, and then he went on to sign him for Mirza, before the release of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.The film will be ready only by 2015. As of now Mehra is looking for Sahiban (Mirza's lover). "There's very little time to prepare. With Mirza, I want to explore the intricacies of romance. I want to find my expression of love - which I've never attempted."Way to go!

Actress Deepika Padukone is recently bagging appreciations for her act in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela, and has given five back-to-back hits. And even though she has successfully impressed the audience, but there are people in her home, who don’t let her have an easy way.The leggy lass recently revealed that her younger sister Anisha Padukone is her most blunt critic. "She is always very honest, and I don't mind it. She is very honest about her opinion. She is my most blunt critic and she speaks her heart. Even if she is criticizing me, I don't mind it because she is very honest and she wants me to do well. As far as Ram-Leela is concerned, she just loved the film," Deepika said.Padukone, 27, on a personal front, said that she is not looking forward for a relationship at the moment. "I don't think I am ready for a relationship at the moment. I don't think my career has anything to do with my relationship. It's just that I am in a happy space right now and not ready to be in a relationship," said Deepika.We hope that you find your true love soon!

It has quite a few years since TV heartthrobs Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani has been seeing each other. All set to be seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, Mohit was asked about his take on working with his real-life girlfriend Sanaya.On this, he said, "We would love to work together again in a show. But when writers pen down characters, they keep our personalities in mind and that hasn't happened yet. We were approached for Nach Baliye last year but it didn't work out then. This year too we were approached but she was busy with Rang Rasiya and I got busy with this show. Maybe next year we'll do Nach Baliye!" Even though the duo is too much in love, still marriage is not in the cards for them. "Not yet. We are both concentrating on our careers at the moment. We want to devote a lot of time to each other when we get married and at this point it's not possible. As and when we decide to get married, of course everyone will know about it." Further, he adds, "When I came to this industry, Sanaya had already been a part of it for some time. I was not aware about the way the industry functioned and she helped me improve my acting skills. Sanaya and I have learnt a lot from each other." We hope there love remains the same forever!

Tinseltown actor Robert Di Niro is seen playing memorable characters like The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. However, when he was quizzed about his real-life heroes, he named out Nelson Mandela, Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi.Niro, 70, is presently in Goa, India, where he will be participating at the ongoing THiNK Fest 2013. Sharing his thoughts, he said, "I have many real life heroes as my inspiration. Mandela, Peres, James Dean, Marlon Brando and from India... Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi. They are strong people with a big heart," De Niro said on the sidelines of the festival. "I try to be more empathetic towards my characters. I try to understand its position by putting myself in their shoes. I feel I am lucky to get into these lives without having to pay a real price," he added. When confessed that he doesn’t remember his early film days, he said, "I really don't remember..." He also said that he has no idea why he wanted to be in cinema and he started his career at the age of 16. "I dropped out of school and enrolled in Stella Adler's acting school, to the surprise of my friends and family. When she (Stella) asked me why I joined this profession, I didn't have an answer. She answered on my behalf that since I wanted to express myself so I chose this profession. I nodded and repeated the same line," he said. Speaking of Indian trip, he added, "Indian people are very nice. I came here 35 years ago and promised that I will be back in couple of years. I got busy and even tried to come last year. Post her traditional Indian style avatar, Pooja Gor, better known as Pratigya of Star Plus’ hit show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, says she is looking for an image makeover. She has also done reality show The Serial, just to widen up her horizons in the acting field.Speaking about her plans, “I want to try out different characters and sequences to test my own caliber and strength as an actor,” said Pooja, who also appeared on Imagine TV’s Kitani Mohabbaat Hai. She has been roped in to play lead character in Bindaas channel’s unusual love stories based youth show Yeh Hai Aashiqui, hosted by Vikrant Massey.Pooja will essay role of Charulata, a woman who tries to find happiness outside her marriage, in the episodic. The story is based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel, Nastanirh and Pooja will be seen as a traditional Bengali woman.About her character and show, Pooja said, “Honestly, I took up the episode in Yeh Hai Aashiqui because it has a complete Bengal flavour to it. I am fond of Bengali culture. I am glad the way it has turned out. I am very happy with the way I look.”The particular episode will air this week on Bindaas!

Actress Vishakha Singh is now a known name in Bollywood after doing films like Fukrey, Bajatey Raho and Ankur Arora Murder Case. Latest it is learnt that she is ready to do more films as she has signed on few more projects.Her upcoming films, however, are in different languages. “These are The Maya Tape (Hindi), Thurram (Telugu), The Motorcycle Diaries (Malayalam) and Valeeba Raj (Tamil),” informs a source. But one thing that comes to notice is that despite being a Punjabi, she has not acted in one yet. Still, she has many language films in South, where she will be playing a lead role. “Doing four films at a time in itself is a big deal but considering that she is a Punjabi from Delhi, doing four film and that too in different languages is really something special,” says a close associate of the actress.“The Maya Tape, in which she is playing a reporter, sees her along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The horror thriller is being readied for release before year end while the other three would arrive in 2014. Moreover, she is also in talks to do more Hindi films, announcement of which would be made soon,” adds a source.Says Vishakha, “Yes, I am doing a lot of regional films. I realise that one should be constantly working. Moreover, South industry pays you much more as well so it is a good reason to be doing films there too.”Hope you achieve success with these films!

Canadian porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, who is currently busy in shooting for her upcoming film Tina and Lolo, said to get injured doing an action sequence. The film, which is an out-and-out action film, requires both female stars Sunny Leonne and Karishma Tanna to indulge in some heavy duty stunts but one such act went wrong.Sunny Leone escaped with bruised ribs and the doctor advised her to refrain from shooting and rest for a few days. However, she has been reporting for shoot on the sets in Mumbai.The film’s director Devang Dholakia also confirmed the news, saying, “It was unfortunate that Sunny got hurt as utmost care is taken with both the girl's safety while they are doing action scenes. We all are glad that she wasn't hurt badly and admire her professionalism. Both the girls insist on doing their own stunts and so we take extra precautions with them.”The sequence in question required both the girls to jump over a car onto a bunch of baddies who were shooting at them and take them down. While Sunny managed to take her guy down, she landed awkwardly, with her ribs feeling the full force of the action extra's knee.Be careful, Sunny!

The popular television actress Suhasi Dhami promises her fans to comeback on television dailies in the beginning of next year. She was last appeared in Zee TV’s Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai and was very much appreciated for her performance of modern bahu.She is currently busy doing a play. “I am currently busy with a play named Happily Married but Phir Bhi Doubt Hota Hai.  I am satisfying my urge to do a comic role through this play. It is running good in Mumbai and people are really liking and appreciating our acts. After my stint in the daily soap Housewife Hai Yeh Sab Janti Hai went off air I got engrossed with this play.”About her return to small screen, Suhasi said, “There are always things in the pipeline but it takes a while for things to materialize. It is the same this time too. But well the viewers will get to see me on television next year now as I am heading for a vacation in December.”On her choice of show and character, she added, “See, television is trying to be experimental, but we all know that what work the most on TV is the saas-bahu shows. So it all depends upon the show that I am offered. If I am happy to experiment then I might take roles accordingly or else I would go with the saas-bahu saga. But I would definitely want to try my hand on negative roles.”Suhasi is popular for portraying lead characters in shows like Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein and Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is quite a task-maker and everyone is well-aware of the fact. His upcoming film is Ram-Leela, which stars actors like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Richa Chadda, who was appreciated for her act in Gangs of Wasseypur and Fukrey.While promoting the film recently, Richa was all praises for her director. ''I learnt a lot from Sanjay Sir. Working with him, I learnt that one must work hard every day, one should be always grounded & have craving for knowledge. One must always be humble in order to grow and become a better person and better actor. One should never let ego clash into one's craft or let petty distractions lose the focus because eventually it will affect your performance,'' says the 24-year old actress.Everyone knows that SLB keeps on losing temperament and even Deepika faced his wrath, however, Richa didn’t become victim of SLB's stringency or temper. ''Fortunately all of my directors have been tough taskmasters....Bhansali sir may be known for his eccentricity and temper but I felt nothing of that sort or came across that side of his. He was, on the contrary, very understanding and loving. He would scream at the whole world except me,'' says Richa. Ram-Leela is all set to release on November 15, 2013.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who is bagging appreciations for his work in Krrish 3, which has already crossed 200- crore at the box-office, is very happy with the reception the film has garnered. He is also very happy that his father and veteran actor Suresh Oberoi praised his work."My father told me, 'I am very proud of you for being so brave. Being a hero, you accepted the role of a super villain and that too opposite a superhero like Krrish, a favourite in India'," the 37-year-old said in Mumbai on Friday (November 8, 2013) at a special screening of Krrish 3 for children.For those unaware, his father was enthralled with the fact that despite being in negative role, he has performed very well with his face and fingers. In the film, it was Hrithik Roshan, who played the superhero and was seen jumping from buildings and doing all kinds of stunts, while Vivek, as Kaal, was most of the time did his act sitting on the wheel chair. And Suresh praised Vivek for the same.And this, obviously made Vivek very happy. "It felt good because he is a father and when such a talented and senior actor praises you it always feels good," he added.Krrish 3, directed by Rakesh Roshan, also stars Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut.

Veteran actress Madhoo, who is eyeing to make comeback in Bollywood films, says she would like to do work that has been done by actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor. She is looking to take up challenging work.She is known for her work in films like Roja, Diljale and Phool Aur Kaante. Madhoo has already started working down South."My south films have started releasing. One film released last month and did 50 days run, so I believe it's a hit. I have signed a couple of films and will start shooting soon. I have started acting again and I am enjoying that. Hopefully I will do a Hindi film soon, waiting for right movie to come to me," said Madhoo. The actress would love to take up interesting film offers and wishes that filmmakers approach her with variety of scripts. "I don't want to say things and limit myself as an actress. I am at a juncture in my life where I can explore and do many different things. I would want producers and creative people to think of something really challenging and wonderful for me as an actress," Madhoo said."When you are younger and playing a heroine, at that time things are pretty similar - like falling in love with the hero and getting married in the end. But now the movies and characterization are different. I can do many more things than I did earlier in my life. It is like Chintuji Amitji, like they are doing fantastic roles now. Bollywood is reeling with shock over the fallout between actor Sushant Singh Rajput filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. It has been buzzing that former has refused to do latter’s film citing his date issues. Sushant was launched by Abhishek amidst full fanfare in commercially successful film Kai Po Che. The actor, later, went ahead to sign two major films, Shuddh Desi Romance (released with descent reviews) and Peekay (Aamir Khan’s ambitious project likely to release in next year).However, it is reported that Sushant has snubbed Abhishek, his mentor, for other projects. “Sushant stabbed his mentor by giving Aditya Chopra preference over him. And, even as we write, details of this guru-shishya estrangement are still tumbling out, said gossipmongers.A close friend of Abhishek said, “Abhishek was shocked when he heard that he would have to wait in queue for Sushant's dates. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is true family man. He splendidly manages to give time to wife and kids, that why he takes them on yearly holidays. Fukrey actress Vishakha Singh believes in doing quality work; that is the reason that she has rejected back-to-back films, which came her way after the success of Fukrey, which also starred Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda and Priya Anand.Also seen in films like Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Ankur Arora Murder Case, the actress is keen on doing roles, which offer her to prove her mettle in acting. "Post Fukrey, I have refused seven scripts. It's important to do what you completely believe in," Vishakha said. "I am game for anything - from drama, comedy, to thriller, romance and family entertainer. I want to try my hands at everything. I want to focus on good scripts where I have a pivotal role," added the actress, who will soon make her Malayalam debut with Rajesh Pillai's Motorcycle Diaries."The divide between the film industries is diminishing. I am comfortable in multiple languages. Once in a while, if good scripts like Motorcycle Diaries in Malayalam or a romantic comedy ValebRaja in Tamil comes my way, I will take them up," she said.Even though she is quite a known her in film industry, but doesn’t let that take a toll in her personal life. "I am not part of the rat race. At the end of the day, I know I did it on my own without a mentor, godfather or recommendations," Vishakha said. "I have seen the lows of the career very early on and have come to the conclusion that a Friday can change everything. Bollywood diva Sridevi, who made her comeback in films with English Vinglish last year, might to feature in a Hollywood flick, tentatively titled Cowboys And Indians. It will be helmed by Amy Redford, who is the daughter of Hollywood actor-director Robert Redford and Sridevi might do a Hollywood film co-starring Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep.When sources asked about the same, Sridevi said, “It is yet to happen... talks are on. We are still going through it.” Earlier, media abuzz that she had refused many films offers as she is opting for Hollywood film. She has rejected Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor that had a negative role for her.Apparently, B-town queen Deepika Padukone was approached for English series Fast and Furious 7 but she denied the offer citing her commitments with Farah Khan for her upcoming Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year. Let’s see if Sridevi cracks the deal and stars in the Hollywood project or not.
