After giving back-to-back hits in the form of Raanjhanaa and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Sonam Kapoor has become choosy when it comes to films, and is taking time before giving nod to any director. As of now she is busy preparing herself for Khubsoorat remake.With the Khubsoorat remake, which stars Sonam Kapoor reprising the role of Rekha, the actress is going to come out of all the boundaries, as she will be seen donning a bikini in the film. Even though the film would be a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1980 classic by same name, it is going to be a modern version. We saw Rekha don sarees and flaunted pigtails back then, the remake will see Sonam in a glamorous avatar.Now we know that Sonam has time and again said that she is looking forward to don a bikini in her film, it is learnt that it will happen with Khubsoorat remake, where Sonam will get into the beach wear. Produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, Khubsoorat will be a contemporary take on the subject.The actress is at present, busy working out to attain a bikini body. Apart from following a strict diet, she is also frequent in the gym, and besides weight training also doing Pilates. "Sonam's trainer has charted out a unique regime, she eats small portions every two hours and she has been told not to consume any carbohydrates after lunch. Sonam wants to approach this in a healthy way. So, she is not starving herself but meticulously eating right to get the perfect swimsuit figure," said one of Sonam's friends.The remake would be shot in Rajasthan, and is expected to hit theatres later next year.

In the past we have seen Chetan Bhagat’s books making it big whenever adapted for silver screen. There has been screen-adaptation of his books like Five Point Someone (3 Idiots) One Night At A Call Centre (Hello), Three Mistakes of My Life (Kai Po Che), and 2 States is still under the production.And now, the latest buzz has that another of his book will be adapted on big screen. This time Bhagat has teamed up with Disney UTV, for his latest bestseller Revolution 2020, which is to be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. For those unaware, the novel talks down the lives of three childhood friends, Gopal, Raghav and Aarti."It is an intense love story set against the backdrop of corruption in the education sector, which affects millions across the country. I can't wait for the three characters to be cast and brought to life," said Bhagat. On his part, Raj Kumar says, "When I read the novel, I was quite moved. It is a very simple and heartfelt story about being young, being confused, being in love, getting corrupt... I am looking forward to writing and directing this book for the screen."Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV, adds, "We are excited to have played the catalyst in bringing Chetan and Raj Kumar together. Chetan had shared the draft of his book with us even before it was published and we instantly reacted to its cinematic potential. It has an incredibly well-graphed storyline and the issues it deals with are those that today's youth will instantly relate to and identify with." The screenplay of the film is currently underway and is expected to go on floors mid-2014.

If the ongoing buzz in Hollywood is to be believed, singer-designer Jessica Simpson, who is expecting her second child whose delivery is due in summer, has plans to take the plunge with fiancé Eric Johnson just one month after the baby’s birth.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited concert Shah Rukh Khan & Friends: Temptation Reloaded Live in Malaysia 2013 has been re-scheduled. It was slated for 11 October, 2013, but now due to some logistic and security issues following US President Barrack Obama’s visit on the 10th and 11th October in Malaysia, it has been postponed till next year. Further, the visit of Obama has also get cancelled.  Concert organizing spokesperson, O. Kumaraguru, said, “We have postponed and the decision will not be pulled back.” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak also announced that Obama has postponed his visit due to the temporary US government shutdown. Kumaraguru explained, “If Obama had announced his delay earlier, perhaps the concert could have taken place on the fixed date. The Shah Rukh Khan & Friends concert is now scheduled to take place before April 2014 and the exact date is expected to be announced by the end of this month.”According to the statement, this (postponement) was due to security reasons, which was brought up following the date of the president’s visit to Malaysia being close to the date of the concert. The statement explains that Obama’s visit also raised logistic issues, which may affect the concert.Concert organizers further expressed their regret over the postponement and stated that who had purchased the ticket can get their refund.

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar proved his credibility with his role in epic film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was immensely appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. Now, the latest the sources hear about the actor is that he would be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s film, where he is expected to share screen space with none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan. We would like to remind you that even the two have earlier worked in Lakshya, which starred Mr. Bachchan, and was directed by Farhan, but it would be first time when Farhan and Mr. Bachchan would be seen together on silver screen. The film would be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Sources close to the project said, "This time the two will be working together as actors. The film is going to be a high voltage drama.''As of now, Farhan is keen to explore himself in acting, hence direction would ultimately take a backseat for a time being. But it is learnt that he will write dialogues for his sister Zoya’s upcoming film, and Nitya Mehra's directorial debut. These days, she is flooded with offered coming her way from each corner of Tinseltown. Recently, she was assigned to be the showstopper at a fashion show in Delhi. However, due to her weak healthy, as per her spokesperson, the event got postponed from December 4 to December 6 at the last hour. Not only, had the organizer to bear the financial load, but also criticism. Fashion designer Nitya Bajaj, who helmed the event, also confirmed the report. Her manager slated the event as per Elli’s dates. All was well till Nitya was informed, on the day of the event, that Elli was unwell and wouldn't be available. “The venue was booked, the press releases had been sent out. Nitya managed to push the show forward to December 6, but since the venue had to be re-booked, it doubled the cost of the show,” informed the source, adding that Elli didn't even inform Nitya in person about the change of plans. Nitya said, “Yes, because of Elli's health problems, I had to shift the show date and have suffered losses due to that.” However, a friend of Elli, who stood up for her informed sources that they sent message to organizers that she was unwell on December 3. “Without her consent, they committed to December 6th and an ill Elli flew to Delhi and fulfilled her commitment,” he said.Elli also added, “I attended the show and did whatever was asked of me despite my ill health.”
