Learners will view and analyse a report or documentary on a topic (current events) of their choice to then share their point of view with an audience. This is a translation and adaptation of "Échanger pour découvrir". Intention pédagogique : This LS aims to help learners develop and defend a well informed point of view by finding and using information from credible sources.

Description : News is everywhere! Does the manner in which news is presented to us affect our understanding of the event? In this learning situation, students will explore how different media use different formats to cater to different audiences. As a final production, they will have their chance to give either a written or oral report on an event of their choice. Intention pédagogique : The pedagogical intention for this learning situation is to get students to explore and understand the different techniques and mechanismes of the English language that can be used to inform. All 3 competencies are targeted by this LS.
