Flickr is really a site of photography, and not only that, but professionaly photography. A teacher could use this site for presentations as the pictures found in the site touch on practically every subject imaginable, but also impact the viewer because of the power behind the photographs. It would be great to utilize in powerpoint and it's better than googlepics because you know that the quality will be great and that you'll find exactly what you need.

I am noticing that classrooms are increasingly becomes "SMART" classrooms. Looking through, there are a lot of very cool resources available to classrooms. Unfortunately, it will depend if the classroom you teach in, is fortunate enough to be a "SMART" class.
