The great thing about this online dictionary is that it has an amazing amount of information. Most the newest slang terms in German can be translated using this dictionary. Another thing is that it specializes in German to English or English to German translations instead of mixing other languages in it. It also only translates basically word for word, so students can't try to cheat and get their grammer fixed on it. They still have to rely on their own skills. Useful if I want to students to read a modern German novel and they can't find a lot of words in their every day dictionaries.

Having and using a dictionary is very important. The Merriam-Webster dictionary is a good, free online tool.

Great on line dictionary! Any language possible! Translations, verb conjugator and much more! One of my Spanish professors in my first semester here at UNCC told me about it! Can't live without it!

Ok this is the real deal when it comes to Spanish! The Real Academia Española is the one who regulates Spanish, so if you need a SERIOUS DICTIONARY which you can trust, this is the place. Oh yes and any new stuff, such as changing of spelling or incorporation of new vocabulary will be here.

This is more geard towards younger students like elementary age, however some of the definitions are a foundation to any math problem. Use them if your students are confused about a new lesson topic to help show them what something means.
