The great thing about this online dictionary is that it has an amazing amount of information. Most the newest slang terms in German can be translated using this dictionary. Another thing is that it specializes in German to English or English to German translations instead of mixing other languages in it. It also only translates basically word for word, so students can't try to cheat and get their grammer fixed on it. They still have to rely on their own skills. Useful if I want to students to read a modern German novel and they can't find a lot of words in their every day dictionaries.

This website offers some fun acitivies and visual aids to include in the lesson for a german class. I could either use things from the website or build ideas of my own by just taking a look.

This is THE group to join for teachers or future teachers of German in America. I am planning on joing this organization as soon as possible and have been researching it for a while now. This is a good website if I have a student who is having trouble with pronunciation or even with grammar. There are pronunciation guides with sound and grammar exercises for people who need some extra practice.

This is a very well organized site that describes the differences and complexities of the german school system. Students could certainly learn a lot about how things work in Germany, as well as practice their language skills. Could be used as a homework assignment or as a discussion to discover similarities and differences between our two countries.

This website helps teachers improve their teaching through media and telecommunication. It has ideas for teaching across the subject areas, but I really love the Language part. My teacher from FLED4200 showed us a video made by this teacher who was teaching German 1 and it was amazing! Anyway, check it out!

This website incorporates music into the classroom and provides teachers with songs on a variety of subjects. I always thought it was easier to memorize rules for things when I could sing it and this website has songs alsready written for me, even for German!

This website allows the user to create their own comics. I think it would be really fun and definitely different to incorporate this tool into the classroom, perhaps by creating a comic in German and having students discuss it, or I can ask them questions about it. Or, they can create their own comic to show what they have learned. It's fun, creative and different.

This is one of the biggest and most respected newspapers in Germany and always has the most uptodate information. I could use this as a way to practice reading and have an activity on the side for effective communication. Students would learn new vocab, use the language and catch up on what is important in Germany.
