I was pretty shocked by the move when it happened, which made me start to take a look at my own personal connection to mobile technology. If the idea of turning my phone off to spend time with a friend is crazy talk, then maybe the crazy thing is how connected I am. The whole idea of being that connected is, after all, to be able to easily reach and connect with people (like this friend). What better time to do that when the friend is physically in front of me, trying to have a real-world conversation.

The iPhone 4S is physically more or less identical to its predecessor. If you want to be special, however, there is a way to make your new toy stand out from the rest and shine in many magnificent colors. A company called ColorWare will change the colour of your Phone but this comes at quite a price. $1500  for a 16 GB model, $1,700 for a 64 GB one, or $250 if you opt to send your iPhone 4S to ColorWare and let them work their magic with it.

what Apple concentrated on most was Siri, the iPhone's virtual assistant. Built on the foundation of artificial intelligence technology developed from the CALO project, Siri takes natural language and turns it into action. Siri will make you fall in love with the Phone. The only problem is now people will forget how to spell words, but they might improve grammar.

RIM could not pick a worst time for their servers to crash, as it was the release of the new iPhone 4S. Many blackberry users instantly switched to the 4S because they know that it will be a very reliable Phone.

linux is getting its big break. many big name companies in the entertainment industry are starting to take notice. samsung is going towards realeasing a linux based phone platform which will be called tizen. tizen will be made for smartphones, notebooks, netbooks, smart tv's and last but not least tablets. as for the smart tv's, fujitsu, and panasonic are looking towards investing into linux.

Steve Wozniak likes to be the first person in line to buy the latest Apple products. This evening, the Apple co-founder and designer of the Apple I and II, was #1 on line outside the Apple store in Los Gatos, California to get the iPhone 4S. He tweeted about it and he'll be staying up all night. TechCrunch TV caught up with Woz and asked him why he does it. He explains what feature the new Phone has that will change his life. Woz also tells us why "search engines should be replaced by answer engines."

Google Wallet continues on its slow (but exciting) march toward letting you pay for things simply by tapping your phone against a special, NFC-enabled credit card reader.

Over the weekend, Nokia launched a suite of casual games developed at Nokia Research Center which are meant to demonstrate how NFC can enable new forms of mobile gaming. The three new games include Nokia World Flags, Nokia Shakespeare Shuffle and Nokia Nursery Rhyme Shuffle. All can be played now on any Nokia Symbian NFC-enabled phone including the Nokia C7 Astound, C7-00, 600, 603, 700 and 701.

Instead of not only going against the law, but also running the risk of serious injury, Ford vehicles will now read you any texts you receive while you're driving. this is part of Ford's voice-activated technology, called Sync, and is installed in all 2012 vehicles except for the Ranger. BMW has also input a similar feature into their cars. This is a good idea for just about everyone who drives, especially people who are on their phones a lot, and once other vehicle manufacturers begin to put these in their cars as well everyone can stay safer on the road while still getting the job done.

Ds Lite has just been lowered down to the price of $45 dollars while the 3DS has been $170 dollars. More or less the prices of new gaming systems, phones(especially), and ipods usually are the most expensive than the old versions. 

With the release of iMessage, one of the many new features that come with iOS 5, people are foreseeing the downfall of SMS. BBM has already started this downfall, and now with iMessage, of those millions of people who have an iDevice and a phone, i am sure they will most likely stick to the iDevice. These are the dark days for SMS

The new and improved OS for Blackberry, and its name? Blackberry BBX. BBX will be installed in Blackberry phones and tablets, with the possibility of systems in cars, next year. Apparently, it couples both "the best of QNX," which was the OS they bought out last year, and the current OS. BBX will have the capability to support all WebWorks and HTML5 apps that are currently being designed, with software for the Blackberry Playbook. Hopefully, this OS will be better than the current one, and on a side note, we can all pray that a certain company won't crash again for three days *ahem RIM cough cough*.

Aren't you always annoyed by your parents because they ask you when to come home from the mall, or tell you the specific time when you have to go home? Well, to me that's annoying. Luckily, there's an app called "ImOK." This app works when parents sign up for an account and send a code to other members of the family. After this the other member of the family then signs up into the network of their phones. Teens check-in to the app for points, which plot their location on the map. While the adolescents check-in and add more information every time, they receive in return for their points is up to the parents. teens have a wishlist which they can suggest rewards in return of their points. Parents can either accept their ideas or add their own which both members can agree on. I believe that this app is a benefit on parents and their children because they both get something in return. The parents get their teen's trust, loyalty, and less stress, while the teen earns allowance. 

This article talks about how Facebook is wanting to improve their mobile aps and their HTML5. The article says how almost half of Facebook's users are on actively on mobile devices, and I am one of them. I barely have time to go on the computer anymore so I'm always on the Facebook app on my blackberry, so I think its great that they're trying to improve their aps and make it so that Facebook will be available on any kind of phone. It is so much more convenient to be able to use Facebook on your mobile device than on an actual desktop. Bret Taylor even predicts that a few years from now, almost every person at Facebook is going to be working on mobile, and I could see why he would say that.

RIM and Porsche team up to create the new P'9981 Blackberry. It has a stainless steel frame, leather back cover, QWERTY keyboard, touch screen, and PINs that identify other P'9981 users. I would definitely buy this phone.

Apple has now patented the very popular "slide to unlock" feature. This makes every android phone ever made infringe it and apple could sue if they wanted to. 

well they just keep coming out with surprises don't they, Nokia just came out with a prototype of another smartphone, it is like any other smartphone, except that this one is flexible, how are they supposed to make a phone out of rubber or plastic or something. this may make it harder to break, but i wouldn't care about that, if I could I would just buy it to freak people out.

did you ever need a plug to charge your phone but cant find one? well as long as you're outside and the sun is shinning, you can use a solar powered charger. this charger is still a prototype but it is expected sometime in the future. its really convenient to have this because you actually dont need to pay for the electricity. all you need is the sun and you are set. this type of technology is available for pre sale price of 400 dollars.

PushBullet is a new computer and mobile app that allows notifications and other files to be transported from any device on the same account. The app comes with many features out of the box, such as the ability to share files between phones and computers with the click of a button, or having notifications on every device you own. The software is fairly new but it is being updated constantly and always changing. It can also be incorporated into stocks, or packages being delivered. I feel that this new app will solve many of the problems of software being seamless throughout devices. Windows media play, and other programs have tried the same thing and failed. I believe PushBullet can fix all of these problems.

this a new invention apple came up with is a case for your iPhone and a dumbbell in one. this case is good for the people who like to jog and listen to music at the same time, you can put one dumbbell in your hand and your case in the other and you can connect your earPhones into your case and listen to your favorite music . in my opinion this is a pointless invention because this is another way apple is trying to take our money away from us. we can easily just use 2 dumbbells and put our Phones in our pocket. this is my opinion on the dumbbell case.
