This article explains how your PC can be referred to as an office, in the way that you have to maintain it's speed and efficiency by continuously looking at it's organization and availability with all the files, machines, and decorations that take up space. This is relatable to my life because when my computer works slow or doesn't perform as fast as it should, I always wonder why or what I should do to improve it's speed. This article informs everyone that by removing unnecessary files, deleting unwanted history and by removing programs that aren't used, these are all ways to improve your computer's efficiency. Also, by organizing your files and programs in a system and method that is effective to your use, is also important so you know where your most valuable information is stored on your computer and you can access this data in a orderly fashion whenever you choose. All in all, the amount of space you have and how you choose to use it, is significant and can reflect how fast, helpful, and efficient your computer performs. This is all based on how clean and organized your computer's internal hardware is while all reflecting back to how you choose to take care of your computer.  

my opinion on the Google glasses are that they are not good because they are making people rely on technology way to much. people are relying on technology to much and when they don't have it, they will feel lost. i think people rely to much on technology that they can't have a proper conversation with a person face to face or use a paper map to find their way when they are lost. We have to teach the kids of this generation how to survive in life without technology and not letting them rely to much on technology, because when they don't have it they will not no how to use their brain or books to get info and will be to lazy because the information won't be at the tip of their fingers. this my opinion on the Google glasses

This article is about a channel on a game streaming site that allows users to 'join in'. The channel's creator, Polygon, has formulated a way in translating chat comments into control inputs. Over the past few days this Pokemon game has received over 35 000 players typing in commands all at the same time, causing lag and a lack of cooperation. However, despite the slow progress in leading the hero around the playing field, players are still determined to defeat the game's eight gym leaders. What is really amazing about this is that Pokemon even after all this time is very popular and people are still finding different ways to program and play this game. It also shows that you don't have to create a new advanced system or another pacemaker to be successful in computers.

I'm not entirely clear what the connection is to careers in computing. Please clarify

The United States governments is spying on everyone, and the easiest way to monitor people is through the internet. Many people believe that one day the US government's way of monitoring people will be shared with or found out by a criminal organization. I believe that although it is important for that US governments to put surveillance they should just monitory anyone suspicious. Also I believe that if they spy on everyone it will become easier to find and hack them back. Personally I would not care if a government was watching my every move on the internet because I have nothing to hide. Finally I believe that most people would sleep better if the Government would tell the population if their spying program was compromised.      

This article shows that social media has definitely affected the way politics work and the way that politics advertise. Its clear that social media has an effect in everything. Politics recently, have started to abuse the fact that everyone is on social networks. By advertising on them, they are able to gain a lot of followers and support. Obama specifically, has gained most of his popularity from internet memes. These memes are very comedic and is probably a main cause of his popularity.

As some people are so immature to share every single moment of their daily lives on the internet, they are unaware that all of that information is open to the eyes of predators all around the world. It does not matter if you are only confiding in a pen pal who you think is reliable and honest or if you are just trying to be viral with your statuses. Not everyone you meet online is safe and can eventually come to harm you using the knowledge you have willingly and ignorantly gave up to them. For example, the lady in this article retells her experience of being kidnapped, brought to a completely different state and continuously raped by a "friend" she met in a chat room and blindly trusted who then targeted and made a victim out of her. Instead of going through an event like this first hand, people, especially children need to wake up and realize that the Internet is not as secure as it may seem and the people you may have the chance to talk to can be potential monsters. From the way I see it, just because you are hidden behind a screen does not mean that there is not a way for predators to find you. Why would you share the secrets of your privacy which you would normally never tell in person, but online where there is always a chance for it being violated?

The XBox One's Kinect is always watching. As you watch TV through the XBox One the camera watches you and the system knows the channels you are watching. Cyber bullying is defined as a young person tormenting, threatening, harassing, or embarrassing another young person using the internet or other technologies. This page gives 11 important facts on cyber bullying that you might not have heard of. Some of these facts include: 70% of students report seeing frequent bullying online, only one in 10 victims will inform a parent or trusted adult of their abuse. I completely agree with these facts and agree with the motive of this site. Cyber bullying is a cowards way out and is not nice in any way.

For my excessively late article on computers and the environment i did it on a article discussing the issues of E-waste in the digital age. I love technology but I realize that the way that we dispose of our technology is unacceptable polluting other countries with the technology that we consider obsolete. We need to find a better way to dispose of our tech such as melting it down and re-using it as opposed to just shipping it to other countries to worry about.

Instrapaper lets you save online articles to your Instrapaper account and sync them to various devises, of which you can read them later. (mobile diigo?) Recently, the iPhone/iPad app got a 'humongaulous' update that touches and improves every way you interact with the app. "Navigation, reading experience, Search, Browsing-all tweaked for the more gooder."  At it's current priced however, i would not download this app.

A new way to watch your videos online? SoundCloud is the new website to watch your videos that could be the next YouTube the reason being that it has increased penetration of smartphones with microphones, and also better audio while doing other activities an example would be listening to SoundCloud in the car. I think that SoundCloud is good way to watch videos and i think i would use it.

Everyone wants their Facebook posts and statuses to be noticed by as many people as possible, and one way to do that is by timing them to when your last status update stops showing up in your fans' news feeds. This way, no one will get annoyed that you post too much, nor that you "never" post. Many should try this, especially if they are attention seekers who need to be noticed. Jokes.

When people decide they have no use for old technology and do not think twice before throwing it out, they probably do not realize that their outdated piece of hardware finds its grave half way across the world. Possibly even in Guiyu, China where the largest electronic waste or "E-waste" dump site exists. People are oblivious to the fact that this is a recurring problem, not just a small matter of sorting and recycling through a few pieces of plastic, metal and wires. This black hole of scrapped computers, television sets, air conditioners and even refrigerators is toxic towards the environment, and is contaminating the growth of crops all around the area, such as rice, from the gases of the poisonous elements contained within the gadgets to make them work. The consuming pile of E-waste is not just environmentally deadly but also causes health hazards, along with the expensive and dangerous recycling operations that are needed. If people continue to neglect this issue, E-waste will continue to grow, swallow the earth with a blanket of harmful bi-products and affect everyone's lives, which is something we do not want. E-waste is hazardous and will eventually kill the planet with the path that it seems to be following without any real rise against the issue. This is such a nice way to give back to the environment don't you think? Polluting the earth and by proxy ourselves with technological garbage is obviously a smart thing to do, as if we aren't destroying the world enough already.

Over the past few years, Facebook has grown to become one of the largest social networking sites in the world. People everywhere, young or old, have leapt at this opportunity to connect with friends or family from all over. This article brings up the possibility of creating a Facebook option that is available specifically for under 13 users as the current Facebook is only supposed to be available to users over 13. This new option would allow parents to create a link to their child's website and edit the Facebook Timeline options to whatever they think is appropriate. However, this possibility is met with a lot of opposition. People believe that allowing kids younger than 13 onto this site could be risky as they would be more susceptible to the dangers of cyber bullying and abuse. They believe that kids would simply be too young to understand the dangers of the internet and as a result would not know how to stay safe. Letting kids go on social networking sites like Facebook at such a young age is a huge decision. How do you know what is the right one? Despite the over 13 rules on Facebook, there are still thousands of young kids on this site that had simply lied about their age. It isn't hard to get onto this site. No matter what we do, with or without this new Facebook option, there will undoubtedly be young kids on Facebook. This fact is unavoidable. That is why I think that this alternate Facebook for children is not necessarily a bad idea. If we can't keep kids off of Facebook then we might as well work to make a safer version of it for them. Although, I don't condone young kids using this site, I am aware of the fact that we can never keep them all away from it and if that's the case then we might as well do all we can to protect them while on it. k we should find safer ways for them to discover this cyber world and educate them on its dangers. This article highlights people's concerns about rapidly growing social networks in the cyber world and its expansion to target younger children. It simply gives us a look at how much Facebook has really grown and what they are willing to do to keep it growing. It has grown so quickly and so has its number of users. It is only natural that young kids want to see and learn about what has fascinated so many of older people.

This article mentions the fact that Twitter now plans to update its mobile applications to introduce filters for photos allowing people to share altered images without having to use another source such as Instagram. Since most phones come with high-resolution cameras and many of the Twitter users use their phones this will be an easy way for people to edit and upload their photos. Especially with people or famous celebrities that use Instagram then share them on Twitter where more people follow them it will be easier and faster to just use Twitter for it all. This new idea has been hastened when Facebook bought Instagram. Twitter was thinking of buying a different photo service or application but when weighing out the cost they decided to just build their own filters. Twitter is also exploring the ability to upload and edit videos without using a third-party application like YouTube. This article has a lot to do with economics and the battle between two companies trying to get people to use their site and apps and not the other. In this case Twitter is really trying to become the most popular and important social networking site where people will be able to do anything on and it will be instant. They are changing what they once were to try to morph into Facebook because of the increasing popularity of Instagram and the fact that Facebook bought it.  I think personally that Twitter is making a good decision about the filter but i don't think twitter should add their own video player because it would change twitter and its purpose of being instant statements and pictures. YouTube is good at what they do and twitter should stay out of it. However with the whole idea of adding filters to Twitter you get the benefits of Instagram with the benefits of Twitter which might just keep them on top of Instagram.

'Inside sources' say that Twitter is working on a photo-filter system that will be integrated directly in the site and mobile apps that hopes to bypass third-party services (such as Instagram.) While Instagram is a social network that focuses on social images with limited text, Twitter is renowned for its 140 character text-based updates with occasional images. An advantage of Twitter's supposed photo filtering system would be that there would most likely be a website equivalent to the mobile app, a problem that has plagued Instagram users who want a PC experience. As of now, there have been no official confirmations by Twitter, but the idea of a Twitter-exclusive photo sharing system seems interesting; although the market is currently saturated by Instagram, which can export images to other social networks, including Twitter. Legally, Facebook and Instagram may be able to take action against Twitter, depending on how similar their filtering system will be. As the title reads, this article announces scientists discovery to recharge laptops and cell phones with soda pop and vegetable oil. Scientists created the first fuel cell that produces electricity with technology borrowed from natural biological powerhouses. Researchers believe, these innovative biofuel cells can transform sugar and fats into energy for running a variety of machines and devices. When further developed, these devices have the potential for replacing disposable and rechargeable batteries in a wide variety of consumer electronics and other products.This can be a revolutionary discovery if we actually start to use soda pop and vegetable oil as our energy source to run our electronic devices rather than batteries. This has an impact on everybody's life and ultimately the entire world because with so much of our lives consisting of using and working with various technology based devices, it will be significant in the way we save money and resources in helping our environment and lives but also being just as efficient and successful with our products as before.

I find this article interesting, it shows how we could put music to your secondary media player. It's amazing how it can become your best way to back up and access your music from where ever. It's pretty cool that Google is trying their best to improve their site, and Google is taking time to improve their site. Since it's one of the best music web apps, i can get to sync my music library and it can connect to my mobile, and also it's for free.

Google Music is states only for now, though. But an easy way to get around it is to either use a web proxy (hidemyass.com) or something like hotspot shield, sign into your google account and go to music.google.com. Turns out you only need to sign into Google Music once with a US IP address to be let in forever. So once you do that you can close the proxy and you'll be able to use it normally.

This article describes a new innovation in laptop that will catch the attention of many. We are all becoming more conscious of the effect our actions have towards the environment and this advancement will help us be more environmentally friendly. The flexibility of this power source is also a bonus. The only down side to this technology is that it will cost a little more but in the end will we save much more than just a few dollars.

This article is about how many batteries will soon be solar powered and use micro fuel cells. This is an environmentally friendly way to use technology since more and more people are aware of the ecological foot print they have made. Solar power seems to be the better choice because you could use it anywhere as long as there's the sun and it's free. Although there are cons to solar powered technology, you will not be able to use it indoor and/or evening hours. You can use micro fuel cells anytime but, are very pricey. I think this new way of using technology will have a long term effect but it will still benefit us in a positive way.

The Internet is a vast collection of information, students will usually use this to obtain research for school projects and properly give credit to sources. However, some students use the Internet to steal information, and pass it as their own so they have to do minimal work and because it's easy. Eventually these students end up failing because they don't know how to write their own pieces of writing. Plagiarism is not only committed by students but even reporters, and writers. This goes to show how easy it is to cheat using technology.
