the change is starting, ebook sales are finally passing printed book sales. I don't think that this will affect anyone in the developing world. book collectors can still collect books, but just digitally. the publishing business can still make profit, by selling these books, emagazines are making more sales than printed ones as well. the world is evolving, and the article said that by approximately 2025, printed books will be obsolete, and a new form of getting information will be in effect.

Suprise suprise, Mark Zuckenberg announced at a confrence on september 23rd, that facebook is once agian, going to change in the nearby future. Soon, we will all get a timeline on our facebook's accounts, showing all of our music we listen to, media we listen into, and lifestyle actions and interactions with their profiles. Personally, I think that facebook needs to stop changing, and leave it the way it is, due to the fact many people are starting to disactivate there accounts, for being so confusing, and also, making it easier to get stalked. Twitters ratings are now growing, because twitter is simply much more simple then facebook.

SAN FRANCISCO, California - Twitter has announced it will start its own URL shortening service for tweets from its official apps. Twitter CEO Evan Williams made the announcement Wednesday night at Chirp, the Twitter developer's conference. It happened casually, during a Q&A session with attendees.

At a minimum we'll probably see Apple TV start using the same A5 processor used in the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 in the future. An A5 processor would make the device work faster, and would allow Apple TV to play back 1080p video.

Electric vehicle technology is nothing new. The earliest carriage manufacturers began toiling with battery-powered cars around the 1830s and in 1899 the Belgium-built "La Jamais Contente" set the land speed world record at 66MPH. But two years prior to that in 1897, the first commercial fleet of EV vehicles were represented as New York City taxis. Back then, drivers had three different engine types to choose from-steam, combustion or electric-and it just so happened that electric was the most popular because of the ease in gear changing and lack of vibration. Also, steam engines could take up to 45 minutes to start in cold weather.

I was pretty shocked by the move when it happened, which made me start to take a look at my own personal connection to mobile technology. If the idea of turning my phone off to spend time with a friend is crazy talk, then maybe the crazy thing is how connected I am. The whole idea of being that connected is, after all, to be able to easily reach and connect with people (like this friend). What better time to do that when the friend is physically in front of me, trying to have a real-world conversation.

British broadcaster Sky has begun making its 3D content available to users of the Nintendo 3DS following a deal with Nintendo which was announced way back in January. The first 3D content is a trailer for the upcoming Sky series Meerkats 3D, but there is more on the way.

Blackberry users are mad. And why shouldn't they be? RIM went down. RIM is what MAKES Blackberrys. The outage that lasted more than three days has now been resolved, and to make amends for it, RIM does not only apologize, but also offers 12 free apps. Woo hoo. But, there is also a month of free technical support. So, there is something to gain. Millions of customers worldwide were left without access to various apps, email, etc. Is this a big enough apology?

After a BlackBerry service outage that lasted more than three days, RIM is trying to make fix their mistakes  by offering them a selection of premium apps for free, as well as one month of free technical support. The RIM service outage was the biggest one they have ever had, and alot of customers are starting to switch, but RIM ensures this will never happen again... yeah right...

All Blackberry users including myself were all ticked off after the 3 day service outage. As an apology, RIM (company that makes Blackberrys) decided to offer 12 free apps for Blackberry users. (Bejeweled, Texas Hold'em Poker 2, Bubble Bash and Shazam Encore) On top of that RIM has given us one month of technical support. I admit that RIM is trying hard to get back on track but sadly this isn't going to keep customers from switching phones. :$

HP has recently come out with their new Music Influencer program. they have started a new talk show where celebrities go on to talk about their music and answer questions. with this new program think this will help bring up HP's popularity. this new Music Influencer sounds pretty cool and i think it would help HP a lot.

these glasses may be big and attached to a pack which must be carried with you, but it is pretty cool. these glasses may not look like much, but when you where them and turn them on, it displays a projection screen about 1 meter away from your eyes. like what you always see in spy movies or something. the little packs can attach to your belt, and displays it like a screen, it is meant for workers so that they can view the manual when working on something without climbing down to get it. NEC will start shipping these out on Dec 26(the day after Christmas) and I think that it will prove to be very useful in every day situations. it is priced at 400,000 yen or $5,200, but the software is at 1.9 million yen or $25,000

There are two main types of jailbreaks - tethered and untethered. Tethered means you have to connect your device to your computer every time it's powered off in order to maintain your jailbreak. Untethered means you can reboot at will without having to jack in that cable. If you update before one of these becomes available, then you will lose all of your Cydia apps and tweaks until you can re-jailbreak. (And even then, you may have to start from scratch if you don't back it all up. More on that below.)

Twitter is testing out new design changes which makes the main Twitter timeline expandable so that you can see media and related information right in the timeline instead of off to the side or clicking off to another page. They have started the testing on a few clients and if it is successful, they plan to make it permanent. I think this is a bad idea because it will just add complications. Besides, if I wanted to see the news, i would just go on another page.

You can now open a tweet and see how many people retweeted it, see the threaded conversation related to the tweet or related photos or vidoes. When looking at a picture, you wont have to open another page just to see it, it will come up on the same page and you will be able to exit it.
