Pivothead video glasses offer impressive quality, we go hands-on (sample video) -- Enga... - 0 views

This video and article is about a pair of sunglasses that can help you shoot videos and capture pictures on-the-go, instantly. This breakthrough has its own up side and down side. For the up side, you get to shoot videos whenever you want, wherever you want. Plus, its very convenient. It adds little to no bulk at all. From the outside, it looks like your typical sunglasses. And did I forget to mention it has a camera that reportedly surpasses that of the iPhone 4S? For the downside, think about privacy. Before, you can tell if someone was video taping you or not. You could tell because they are holding a rectangular device. But right now how are going to tell? Many people wear sunglasses and from a distance, you would not be able to tell that those pair of sunglasses are the ones that are capable of shooting videos. Well I guess downside of this just depends on how the user uses it.

'Star Wars: Episode VII' will take place 30 years after 'Return of the Jedi' | The Verge - 0 views

  • A new Star Wars film is getting closer by the day, and Lucasfilm and Disney have just announced some new information on the status of the production. Episode VII — co-written and directed by J.J. Abrams — is set to begin shooting this May at Pinewood Studios in London. For the first time, however, the team is giving an indication of what fans can expect to see when the film hits theaters in 2015. According to today's release, it will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, which capped off the original Star Wars trilogy, and "will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces."

Lucasfilm and Disney have announced more info on the production of the new Star Wars Episode VII film which is set to release in theatres in 2015. They are set to begin shooting this May at Pinewood Studios in London. This movie will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi which was the end of the original Star Wars trilogy. The original actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill may return to play their roles as Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker. The last star wars movie which included these characters came out around 30 years ago, in which the older actors' aged look would come right into alignment with the movie's storyline. More announcements are sure to be made on May the 4th (known as Star Wars day). I find this very exciting because I was a huge star wars fan when I was younger, and it will be great to watch another movie that is part of a series that I watched as a kid.

3-D Printed Car Is as Strong as Steel, Half the Weight, and Nearing Production | Autopi... - 0 views

  •
This article is about a new 3-wheeled car about to go into production. But this car is not like any other car in production. Instead of picturing large robot arms shooting sparks to make a heavy car this one is 3-d printed, strong as steel, and half the weight. This car is only 1,200 pounds. Although part of the car(named Urbee) is printed plastic, the engine and the rest of the chassis is made of metal. Despite people thinking it is not as safe as cars on the road right now, the makers of the Urbee are claiming to be as safe as those in races. Personally I believe this will be the future of car production and 3d printed cars can a lot better for society.

New $443 3D scanner on sale: "Looks awesome. Shoots lasers." | Ars Technica - 0 views

  •
This article is about a new 3D scanner. So far this scanner has created high levels of interest and is only selling for $450 Canadian compared to the NextEngine scanner that currently sells for $3000. There were two people that created this scanner and hoped to raise $81 000 but so far have already raised $228 000. The pair said that they built this scanner in mind for anyone who had a 3D printer. They said that is less complicated machinery and  doesn't have the same amount of moving parts that a 3D printer has. This scanner can scan objects up to a 5-inch diameter and a 9.75-inch height. On average it takes 3 minutes to scan an object.  This is an affordable way to get a 3D scanner aimed at the hobbyist and the consumer market. I think that this is a cool new product that many people will use and enjoy.

How the sun may protect us from future asteroid collisions - 0 views

  •
This article is basically about physcist developing a system in witch they use the suns energy to destroy or redirect asteroids from space. The earth at this period of time can easily be destroyed but a random asteroid from outer space. Asteroids are roughly the size of five football flieds long. The earth has recently dodged two asteroid threats on its own but may not be so lucky in the future. This is why Physicists Philip Lubin of University of California, Santa Barbara and Gary Hughes of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo started working on the DE-STAR proposal a year ago. Directed Energy Solar Targeting of Asteroids, an exploRation (DE-STAR). This system will use the suns solar energy to power a laser beam that can be used to shoot to destroy or redirect future asteroids that have been predicted to come and are a threat to human survival. For example asteroid 2012 DA14-a medium sized, 150 ft (50 m) rock weighing 143,000 tons-was closing in on us. They knew that it would miss us too, by 17,200 miles (27,700 km

Hasbro reinvents Lazer Tag for the smartphone generation - 1 views

  •
this article is about using your Apple iPhone or iTouch as an add-on to a new Hasbro Nerf Laser Tag game. i think its pretty genius using your iPhone or iTouch as your own screen, but i also think that they should be other types of laser tag "guns"
  •
This article is about how you can plug in your iphone or ipod to plastic guns and play laser tag. You can get the app and it shows you where you hit your friend, what level you are etc. I think its good for this generation because teens these days enjoy playing shooting games and almost everyone loves lazer tag. I believe this is a great game that's coming out because I know I would want to play it, and its something fun to do with all your friends.

Weapon of Ice Destruction: A Snowball Launching Crossbow - 0 views

  •
Finally winter can be much better. Snowball fight!! Before we would need a pretty good set of gloves to keep our hands dry, but now we can just use a sniwball launching crossbow. Although it isn't a good idea to shoot a little kid with this, but it sounds pretty cool. I'd buy one just soo i can annoy my parents, but after getting in trouble maybe it isnt a good idea.
