This year is going to be one of the NBA's most anticipated seasons of all time. Watching last year in only a 66 game season you could see how much more entertaining the NBA is getting. Now with the moves the Los Angeles Lakers have made by adding Dwight Howard and Canada's own Steve Nash to the lineup could make for a very entertaining season along with the Miami Heat that are coming off champions from last season and one of the greatest seasons ever done by Lebron James. The Heat and Lakers could both make the finals which will provide the first ever Lebron vs. Kobe Finals which would settle the debate on who would be better. Overall this season is just looking better and better the closer we get to it starting.

The Walking Dead season 3 has much more zombies than in season 1.  This mind blowing, butt kicking, entertaining tv show is back on amc every Sunday.  Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, is back and better than ever.  At the New York Comic Con, Andrew Lincoln said "They said there are more zombie kills in this episode than in the whole of Season 1."  Rick's son, Carl, is played by Chandler Riggs and he now fights walkers with his father and is no longer the little boy who hides.  Another new addition to the tv show is Danai Gurira who plays Michonne and is the katana wielding hooded person who was shown in the season finale who left everyone wondering who she was.  This is the most anticipated tv show and it hasn't let anyone down yet.

What started out as a minor distraction is now an issue that parents are beginning to take notice of. Popular electronics are becoming more than just a form of entertainment, it is also believed to negatively affect a child's mental development. Since kids these days are relatively less active due to technology, this problem also affects the kids social skills, education, and physical health. Many of us remember the PSN outage of April 2011. Sony blamed 'Anonymous,' a collective hacktivist group formed in 2003 on 4chan, after they found the Anonymous calling card 'We Are Legion' in their system. Anonymous is composed of individuals with the ideals of: 1. Freedom of Information 2. Freedom of Speech 3. Unregulated Internet Anonymous will only attack databases and websites only if provoked, and will not do so for monetary gain. The group has recently engaged in multiple attacks on international government databases. The article, by Casey Chan, is about the Anonymous digital attack on Israel, in retaliation after the Israeli government threatened to shut down Internet access and other telecommunications to the Palestinian people in the Gaza and "Occupied Territories. " The group attacked the Israel Foreign Affairs database and Bank of Jerusalem database, as well as DDos attacks on over 600 sites and theft of over 2000 email addresses and passwords. This attack has generated some controversy. Since the beginning of November, Israel has also received over 150 missile attacks from the Palestinians as well. Anonymous aids the Palestinians by sharing a 'Care Package,' instructions on what to do in the event Israel does sever the Internet connection. Anonymous has become quite influential on the Internet. This illustrates how important the Internet has become. The internet is not only a commodity, but a right to have. It has replaced forms of communication, entertainment, transactions, and more. A group of 'anonymous' users has been formed for the sole purpose of protecting it, with the will and capabilities to punish any party that wishes to disrupt it. As with every conflict, there are sides. Anonymous, in protection of Internet freedoms; and the Israeli government, that has been fighting a war for as long as anyone can remember.  This article is about impersonating people online. Outside of the internet people can be arrested and fined for pretending to be a police officer, soldier, and even a normal person. This law still does not apply to life on the internet. This politician in Arizona is trying to make this a law. Doing this could stop people from scamming others online (ex. pretending to have cancer or someone else to get one) but could also stop popular parody accounts used for entertainment(ex. popular twitter accounts such as Fill Werell). Overall this law could probably bring more good than bad helping people protect their identity.

It is about a group of people researching and creating a prototype of a refined hairline grooves of a peacock. The product was pretty much reflected with sunlight and was unaffected by viewing angles. It is used for people that use e-readers. They only have static images currently, but they are thinking about putting moving images on it. This is also made as a reflective display for e-reader users. Having an e-reader isnt really bad. It is portable meaning that you can take it outside with you and be able to use it, but also this article will help all the e-reader users because it will give them static images, and soon moving images. I dont see any negative things about having this device. Just a few days ago, another Twitter hoax is called into question. The tweet suggested that 18-year-old Justin Bieber is supposedly diagnosed with cancer. This prank all began with a screenshot of the tweet that seems to be from Entertainment Tonight's Twitter account which informs fans to go #BaldforBieber to support the ill celebrity. A website BaldforBieber.com was set up not long after the tweet and showed photoshopped tweets from Justin Bieber, thanking his fans for their support. On the website were also a number of fake news reports that proved that the rumors were "real". On Friday, the #BaldforBieber was revealed to be a hoax that the pranksters of 4Chan created.   I personally found this prank harsh and insensitive; however, it does teach a lesson, especially to those who actually shaved their heads with the intention of supporting the supposedly ill pop star. The results of this joke indicate how many people these days believe what they read and see on the internet. After such a well thought out yet extreme prank, Twitter users should think twice about information presented to them from the internet and make rational decisions. 

Xbox 360 has added several new apps to its gaming consoles Xbox Live package as part of an effort to make it an all-in-one entertainment system. It added various cable networks such as Comcast, HBO Go, and MLB TV. This relates to the course because it shows how technology is evolving.

I think this is a good thing for people to buy because then you can easily control your tv with your apple device. As well, there is a less chance of it breaking. Furthermore its not very expensive and I believe it is good for apple users. 

It's actually surprising  how you can download such an app on your iphone, ipad, or ipod. You can actually have your control over your home entertainment. Long time ago, you had to get up and actually click a switch to change the channels, but now it's like better than a remote, and easier.  It's good that this app is free, that way many people would be interested in getting this app, and actually using it. 

This article is about web sites you can go on your computer while working which relieves stress. The websites are Youtube time Machine, YouSwear, Unsuck It, Unhear it, and the things you would have said. These sites are also for entertainment if you are bored. Youtube time machine takes you back to the popular videos that were played during a specific year. YouSwear is a site where you can search up swear words in different languages since you are not allowed to swear during work. Unsuck it is a site which defines some of the business terms that you might not understand. Unhear it is a site that plays a bunch of random songs to help you get an annoying song in your head, and the things you would have said is a site that lets you express what you wished you have said to someone.

Google is a software giant that we all use, be it for email, Youtube, searching the web or for social networking with Google+. Honestly, that was kind of hard to say with a straight face, no one uses Google+, but apparently thats okay with Google. According to the NY Times, Google+ has been a ploy from the start, created to collect data from users and sell it to the highest bidder. This became evident when Google+ became the hub for all Google accounts, although it is neglected by users. By linking it to maps, gmail, youtube, Google now knows where you go, who you talk to, and what you find entertaining; valuable info for advertisers. This is especially useful, considering the fact that Google's main source of income, search advertising, is declining. This can be a huge concern for Google users who do not want to be tracked and monitored, I among them. While it was not this announcement specifically, similar news has persuaded me, and others undoubtedly, to abandon Google services. I have gone from using chrome, Google search, gmail and more to using free 3rd party software that is committed to maintaining user privacy. Realistically, however, I have not made a difference in Google's business plans, and they will continue along their path as long as it is profitable. Although many laughed at first at the Google+'s hefty price tag, Google is the only one laughing now.

Titanfall the most anticipated game of 2013 and 2014. Ever since it was revealed at E3 there has been craze over this Microsoft exclusive game. For some this game looked like a Call Of Duty because the owner of Respawn Entertainment made Call Of Duty 4. This game is a fresh look to the FPS (first person shooter) genre as the titans are powerful but not overpowered. As for my experience with the game I have participated in the closed beta it is the greatest FPS game I have ever played in my life. All I can say is on March 11 I will be calling my titan in!

The company behind Animal Planet has bought a two-year-old network called DogTV. The channel broadcasts 24/7 content for dogs with three categories: relaxation, stimulation, and exposure. The target market for this channel is for owners that feel guilty about leaving their pets home alone. The idea is not new either, a channel called Puppy Channel was launched in 1997 and still has a website today. In August, DogTV closed its distribution deal with DirecTV and DirecTV estimated that half of its 20 million customers are dog owners who would be interested in the channel. DogTV has gone with the HBO style charging their monthly subscription $5 on the channel and $10 for online streaming. If the owners of the dogs are interested in watching the channel as well, the channel may add advertising to it. Dan Fox, Discovery's senior vice president of corporate development, says that DogTV is a very natural fit and is lacking big-name stars. This is good because unlike other very popular shows, the channel will not have to pay a lot for salaries. I think this is a great ideas for dogs who have to stay home because their owners are not allowed to take them out. It will keep the dogs busy as well as keep them entertained and stimulated while the owner is out doing whatever they need to do without having to worry about if their dog is ok.

I can not count how many times already that I have had something spoiled for me, be it a television series I have yet to watch, a book I have yet to buy and read, a movie still left to watch, or even a new music video for a certain Korean boy band that I follow and cry over. And all of these disgusting spoilers, that ruin my entertainment, come from the single source that is the Internet. I can't even innocently scroll through my dashboard on Tumblr to update my blog anymore without discovering five plot twists in which I have not yet been pleasantly surprised in, a death scene I least expected before it was my time to watch it, and maybe even a leaked practice video to a supposedly secret EXO comeback. Not only does this infuriate me to no end, but it also fuels the fires of my happiness in that someone created the "Spoiler Shield" app - a way to specifically block all of the spoilers you will find while going through your social media sites. Just simply input the subject you would not like to previously see before you invest the time to actually watch it, and the app will block all spoilers relating to it in real time so that going on your social media daily will never be a problem again. At last, I have found an app that will keep my eyes innocent to .gifs from Game of Thrones Season 4 so that I can now watch the show without it being ruined. The idea that this app will prevent me from stumbling over random spoilers greatly pleases me.

linux is getting its big break. many big name companies in the entertainment industry are starting to take notice. samsung is going towards realeasing a linux based phone platform which will be called tizen. tizen will be made for smartphones, notebooks, netbooks, smart tv's and last but not least tablets. as for the smart tv's, fujitsu, and panasonic are looking towards investing into linux.

Since Angry Birds has pretty much taken over the world, why not try to extend the reign of awesomeness to space? An Angry Birds plushie, along with two Apple iPads, will be sent to the International Space Station with two upcoming Russian space launches. The iPads will be used for entertainment purposes, obviously, but the plush toy will be the first Angry Bird in space. That's one small step for a plush toy, one giant leap for Angry Birds everywhere. 

EA has once again made the Worst Company in American History. Although many think the constant hate towards EA is a circlejerking karma train their problems and mistakes are very much real. This article outlines 3 of their main failures: -not providing a product their costumer will want -not selling a product at a reasonable price -not supporting the products they sell Despite selling games that millions of people buy most are rushed, including features that nobody wants, and not fixing previous mistakes. They also try to squeeze as much money out of their consumers as possible. They make people pay for money in-game products that should already be in the original copy and the make many of their games pay-to-win. Sources say that the iPad will soon be able to control your t.v., and Control4, and company based in Utah has already started thinking past this. They have an iPad app which can be used to control security features, lighting, temperature and entertainment media. Not only would you be able to access the things from your home while you're at home, but also while you're out. You could turn up the heat in your house before you came in or turn off the lights if you forgot to do it when you left. This app also turns iPads into a surveillance system. You would be able to see what's going on around your house but for a much cheaper price. I'm sure this is something many people would like because it means less work for everyone.
