Thunderbolt To Get Even Faster With New Cables - 0 views

  •
Even faster? Nien, nien, nien, nien that is not possible. But apparently it is with new fibre optic cables that transfer data even faster with the use of light pulses instead of electrical pulses. This is a pain free upgrade for thunderbolt users now because all you need to do is buy a new cable. Can it get any faster? Nothing goes faster then light, or does it? No it doesn't as outlined in the equation in e=mc2. But is that a lie? No, Einstein was right, he got everything else right. (Baby dont hurt me no more, da, da, da, da, da, da, da)

Plug in a USB Cable The Right Way (The First Time, Every Time) by Looking at The Seam - 0 views

  •
One of the many annoyances a lot of us have to put up with every now and then (I know I do, ALL THE TIME) has a very useful solution. The article gives people a sense on how to properly put in a USB cable or stick into our computers by looking at the seam (the kind of squiggly line  on the USB; you'll know what it means when you check out the article), that way every time you put it into your computer, you'll be hassle free from this constant nuisance.

OUYA Will Be In A Store Near You on June 4 for $99 | TechnoBuffalo - 0 views

  •
The OUYA Android powered gaming console started off as a Kickstarter exclusive, but will now be available to consumers on June 4 for $99. On Kickstarter, the OUYA was a huge success, raising over $8 million. It is basically an Android powered device that is capable of running console quality games. There has been much anticipation for the people who did not back the project on Kickstarter because no one knew that it would get this big and popular. When it hits the market, it will be sold at retailers such as Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and through OUYA's website. It will include the console, a controller and HDMI cables. I chose to use the economics tag because at just $99, this console is a steal compared to other consoles currently on the market. I believe that many people will pick this product up and OUYA may be able to compete with SONY and Microsoft in the next few years.

Chrysler's Mopar division brings wireless charging to 2013 Dodge Dart (video) -- Engadget - 0 views

  •
In 2012 Chrysler is releasing a new feature for the Dodge Dart. They will have a place where you can put your iPhone securely in your car and it will charge. There are no wires required although your phone must have this special case on it. It is a small compartment where you're phone can be placed and charge without it moving as you drive. I think this is convenient because you wouldn't need those cables to charge your phone in the car, and eliminates the distraction of the wire.

A company called Aereo is a Tv broadcasting website that gives you an antenna and a DVR without actually giving you them. You sign up on their site to get all the tv shows on your tablets, phones, and computers. If this is free, i would honestly sign up but imagine the fees if you were to use your 3g, 4g, or 4G LTE?

Google Fiber chooses nine metro areas for possible expansion | Ars Technica - 0 views

  •
This article is about Google Fiber which is a new type of internet that uses an optic fiber cable to deliver Internet at the incredible speeds of a gigabit. The Internet that is available now in Canada is only up to about 500 megabit speed, and Google Fiber is about double the speed, at a lower cost, in comparison to Rogers or Bell. The article explains how the Fiber Internet is spreading to cities of the United States, such as Austin, Texas, and Provo, Utah. There is a lot to be done on installing this Internet in the cities, and it will take a lot of time, but in the end it will be worth it, as it increases the poor quality Internet Services that are available now in North America. In my opinion, Google Fiber should start making its way into the new developing cities of Canada, such as Vaughan, or Richmond Hill because it will be easier to install since the infrastructure is not finalized.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Premieres To Record Ratings, Piracy | TechCrunch - 0 views

  •
Game of Thrones, the fantasy series that came out of a series of novels written by George R. R. Martin and adapted by HBO has just recently aired its third season with a bunch of people watching it during its premiere. The bad news is that the amount of people pirating the show is more then half the amount of people who actually watched it on HBO. With the premiere having around 6.7 million viewers and the amount of pirate viewers at 4.4 million. These stats are quite impressive but HBO can expect a lot more views when it counts on-demand, DVR, online streams with a gross audience of 11.6 million viewers when counting non-live viewers. On the other hand, TorrentFreak claims that GoT has been the most-pirated show over the past year and that the pirated audience is growing even faster. A few hours after the first torrent of the show was uploaded, it had around 110,303 leechers and 52,786 seeders, a total of 163,088 people. This number actually broke the previous record with 144,663 peers for another show called "Heroes".

5 iPhone Cases to Keep Your Earbuds Tangle-Free - 0 views

  •
Iphone just keeps getting better and better! There has now been 5 iphone cases that keep your earbuds tangle-free. No matter how hard you try to neatly tidy your Iphone headphones they always and up in a tangled mess. They have created 5 Iphone cases that cunningly conceal your headphones for tangle-free headphones. I think that this is quite unbelievable and actually quite useless because people are willing to pay more money because they don't like tangled messes!

ios 5 jailbreaking - 1 views

  •
There are two main types of jailbreaks - tethered and untethered. Tethered means you have to connect your device to your computer every time it's powered off in order to maintain your jailbreak. Untethered means you can reboot at will without having to jack in that cable. If you update before one of these becomes available, then you will lose all of your Cydia apps and tweaks until you can re-jailbreak. (And even then, you may have to start from scratch if you don't back it all up. More on that below.)
