It is about a group of people researching and creating a prototype of a refined hairline grooves of a peacock. They only have static images currently, but they are thinking about putting moving images on it. This is also made as a reflective display for e-reader users. Having an e-reader isnt really bad. This is an app where you can make the weather look much better on your screen which is available on iTunes.Not only does it show you the temperature or weather outside but it also shows you the hours of sun, temperature a the chance of precipitation.  You can click on one of the bubble and it will have an enlarged view of the particular data  with more details.  An example of this would be : tapping on a temperature bubble and shows high-low feel of temperature as well as wind speed and direction.  Each of the three screens show you a five-day forecast for each of the three metrics across the top. The colour and flow at the back of the screen depends on which way the weather is trending. The little wind direction points  the right way using iPhone's compass.

The main idea of this article is that a great amount of social networking websites can view everything on your account, deleted or not. This is a major breach of privacy because when a user hits 'Delete' they expect it to erase it entirely. This is not entirely true. This also applies to private chat conversations. As a major breach of privacy, this information is easily available no matter how hard you tried to get rid of it. This is an important article because it applies to everyone, including employees. Instagram has been sold to Facebook for a billion dollars. Instagram has been out-doing both Facebook and Google. There had been much money tossed around to buy Instagram, fortunately for Facebook, they bought them out. Instagram is an App that adds effects to any picture you have taken. It allows you to change the way the picture looks with a quick edit and doesn't take long at all. Also, you are able to upload this picture to the server and various amounts of people can view it, if you wish. In addition, you may also follow people too to see what they post. This is relevant to the things learned so far because the creators of this app have are now millionaires due to their extensive knowledge of building App programs and knowing how they work. The app is quick and easy, it is a free download and because of the many free downloads around the world, the developers are now rewarded.

LG made the first 55-inch OLED TV which , and it will cost $8,000. The timing jibes with what we heard at CES, but it's the first solid word we've heard as to what the future of beautiful television is going to cost us. Eight thousand. That's a lot of money-more money than most people have to spend on a TV, by a longshot. But it could've been a lot worse! Samsung's current top of the line 55-inch LCD TV runs around half that-and it's using old, old technology. OLED will be out of reach for almost everyone, but, like everything else, it'll slide cheaper, and cheaper in a (relative) hurry. Especially when LG, Samsung, and the rest realize nobody can afford this. It realtes to the course because its technology.

In Italy, a Perceptual Robotics Laboratory is creating a revolutionary robot exoskeleton. The suit allows the user to more freely than any other exoskeleton built up to date and it also lets you lift up to 220 pounds with ease. It is being made specifically for people to use in disaster zones such as areas where earthquakes have struck. In my view I believe that it is great that humanity has been able to create these machines to save lives. Although, a new age in technology creates a new age of warfare. It would not be the first time that something made for the benefit of mankind would cause death and destruction. Such as gunpowder, with was accidentally created when the Chinese were trying to create an elixir of life.

Researchers from University of Hawaii and University of Tokyo have teamed up to get a closer look on how sharks behave. The researchers strapped on a bunch of gadgets to a bunch of different sharks. The gadgets are a combination of a GoPro and a sportsband to monitor and video what sharks do in everyday life. The researchers were able to disprove misconceptions on how the animals move. Before, scientists thought that sharks glided effortlessly through the water, but in reality they actually power swim. The researchers also got some footage of the sharks underwater after jumping to catch a pray. The next step for these researchers is to create an ingestible device to get a better understanding of the sharks diet. They hope that this will help people to stop assuming that sharks only eat human limbs like they do in the movies. After watching the video attached to this article, I found it very interesting to see how the sharks moved around the water and to see what they saw when swimming.

Sony is developing a new virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 4. This headset will have1080p quality with a 90 degree field of view. The headset is very stylish and refined compared the other giant in virtual reality technology, the oculus rift. Morpheus (codename for the vr headset) will be the only competition for Oclulus Rift concerning customers seeking virtual reality gameplay. Although we don't know yet if Morpheus out performs the rift I believe that there will be a virtual reality was between the two. Being a gamer myself, I really like the possibility of virtual reality gameplay. Unfortunately at the moment the Morpheus is not for me because prefer playing games on the pc and will probably never buy a next gen console.

For week three's bookmark I have chosen this article about the moto 360, which is supposedly the "future" of android wear. I found this article to be interesting because it showcased a unique smart watch unlike others. While samsung's "galaxy gear" has a bulky square format, the Moto 360 has a round face and looks like a more traditional classy watch. This to me is the future of wearable technology. It is not something like google glass that will attract unwanted attention, but it provides a useful way to view your technological information while still looking classy. It also has interchangeable bands and has "a large battery life" according to it's creator. Personally this could be the first piece of wearable technology that I would consider buying, and that is why I have shared this article.

This is an amazing article showing just how far space travel has come. Astronaut's have taken many pictures from space of the moon, they then put them all together to give us this amazing view of the moons north pole!  

These are just two different views of how Apple and Google deal with issues in their OS' and how they tend to fix them by gathering info from either users or looking it over themselves.

The future of gaming is set and Sony has clearly decided to be apart of it. At a recent conference, the company displayed a sleek prototype of a headset that will give players a high definition, panoramic view of the game as if they were present in the server, all in 3D. Sony has already sold thousands of headsets to developers and is inspired and encouraged to make their own virtual reality game and are looking forward to working with new technology. I think that this new format of gaming would be really interesting and futuristic. Certainly, the game play would be more realistic as I don't think there would be as much restrictions to pressing a sequence of buttons, when technically using the headset would allow you to act out exactly what you want to happen. Although I am aware of the dangers of virtual reality due to a specific anime, the fact that technology has made it so far is purely amazing.

For many years scientists have been banging their heads on the wall that is Cancer. No cure seems to be found that is perfect, but they keep striving on. In this article Scientists are starting to develop a new approach. Scientists have developed a technology that allows them to manipulate nano-particles and are using them to fight cancer. These particles are ejected into the cells along with protein and then travel into their system. They then latch on to three separate "nodes" and attach them together. This in fact is the cells death switch causing it to self district Furthermore, this has proven successful in destroying many cells, but there are still problems. First of all, there is so far no way of controlling which cells are targeted, so this is not very safe for you, and some cancer cells are making attempts to resist this. To conclude, I believe that this is an ingenious piece of technology and with some further development we may see a cure for cancer.

This article is about Google's Nexus One Phone that was launched into space on Monday. It was launched into orbit aboard a CubeSat dubbed STRaND-1, which was developed by Surrey Satellite Technology at the University of Surrey's space centre. STRaND-1 now holds the honor of being the first PhoneSat and UK CbeSat that has ever made it into orbit. Alongside the HTC- made handset are an altitude and orbit control system, two propulsion setups and a Linux-based computer with a "high speed" processor. An app called 360 will let people back on terra firma request their own snapshots of earth taken with the phone's shooter and pin them to a map.

Google believes that Chromium`s multi-process approach has added to much complexity for both the browser and WebKit itself, so it`s creating a seperate, simpler fork named Blink. Although the new engine will be much the same as WebKit from the start, it`s expected to change over time as Google strips out unnecessary codes and tweaks the underlying platform. The company has also confirmed that both Chrome and Chrome OS will be using Blink in the future.

Earlier today, Twitter announced  a brand new update for it's searching features for the web and smartphones including Android and IOS. This new update adds a search button to the Iphone making it up to speed with Androids and any form of a tablet. Also, this update improves search results for photos, tweets and twitter accounts. Secondly, the connect tab automatically defaults to interactions which will display new followers, mentions as well as re tweets. Lastly, which is probably the most favourite new addition, is a change in Twitters mobile implementations handle links. Meaning, you can now click a URL directly from your twitter timeline without having to open a related tweet. This is the new twitter search update that was released earlier today. Make sure to install this update and the mobile site is already sporting the latest updates, but you will need to update your IOS or Android smartphone at their respective store.

This article is about how Google is negotiating with music labels to launch their own streaming service. Google is currently working to argument their current download store with a streaming service that could take on the likes of Slacker and Nokia music. The outlet's sources suggest that Google is currently in the negotiation stage with record labels, and that it's service would likely feature both paid and free ad-supported components. While this news remains a rumour for both Apple and Google, it seems that the race is now on for which company is both willing and able to supplement it's music store with a streaming service. 

The new OS; Windows 8, is bringing on a lot of excitement, but many people are not too happy with the changes made, myself included. Many people miss the desktop screen, and dislike the new start screen. Others don't like the tiled look and are more used to that of windows 7. There are many other problems and this article describes how to fix all of them. First of all, There is the desktop screen problem. Many of us used to place all our most used programs on our desktop screen so that when you log on, you will have quick access to all you needs, but now all of that is gone and replaced by the start screen. Fortunately, you can bring them back with Start8 (which is easier to use but costs $5) or Classic Shell (which is harder to use but is more customizable and is free). The cool thing about Classic Shell is that it can fix many other things, such as turning your windows explorer from a ribon-ified mess into a usable file browser. you can also fix this problem with Xplorer2. Another problem is that you cant view your videos without buying an attachment to windows media player, but you can fix this with free programs such as VLC There are many other peeves i n widnows 8 that this article helps solve. In conclusion, I feel that knowing that these problems can be fixed will lean alot more people towards windows 8
