Great stuff on PBL.

I mentioned EdCamp at our last PD. This is a nice synopsis of what that would look like. Any chance our faculty is large enough to use the model for part of a PD day?

Great talk on giving kids more control over which problems they solve.

Probably confirmation bias, but this makes sense to me. 

Some things to consider as we move forward with the RA grade

Would like to work on changing this perception for students. I think it will require some rethinking of the way things are done in math class though.

This is a nice summary of research on learning, written in language that our students would find interesting. 

I think running 'independent studies' just got a whole lot easier. What would it look like to offer these courses to our students?

Assessment 2 years to work through for students. Should we stay on assessment. For PD next year too?

This is a timely article (with many good links) on preparing kids to use the web in the 1:1 classroom. 

Can we head in this direction?

Just some food for thought. I think most of us do a pretty good job, but how many of these are you still subscribing to?

The vanguard universities are moving away from traditional methods of content delivery. I'd like to take this as tacit permission to focus on independent and collaborative learning with out students.

You could spend a long time going through all of the resources here, but it is nice to have them all pulled into the same place. Anyone interested in project-based learning should take a few minutes to take a look.

Wow - this is not only a great math curriculum (from what I've seen), it's an impressive feat for active teachers.
