Blog that breaks down the important terms of this week's reading by Bolter and Grusin

This website helped me to better understand the definitions of immediacy, hypermedia, and remediation. It sort of broke down the terms a little bit better than in the reading for me.

REMEDIATION. Pandora is one of the most primary examples of how remediation is alive and well in today's digital society. It's a site that has taken the radio and placed it essentially in the listeners' hands with the ability to skip songs they don't like and build stations around songs/artists that they tend to favor.

I know I already shared one page but I thought that this was a good one as well. This blog post really talks about remediation and how it is used in the creation of new digital media as well as what remediation means to the lay person.

A tutorial that discusses line art and designs. I found it helpful because it is neat to see the lines being created and used after we have read about their functions and meanings.

This youtube video relates to Chapter 2 which focuses on the design process and the steps involved. Although this video is slightly different from the steps stated in the textbook, it kind of goes into more detail of the steps given in the text book and gives a nice visual of the steps involved in creating a webpage and how it will look on multiple media devices.

I really liked this website because it explains what different types of new media there are. You can click on each one and it will explain and give definitions. Then it gives ideas of how you can use the new media to spread the message of AIDS. This can work to spread any type of message across.

In Chapter one of the text, the topic of raster versus vector images is touched upon. I chose this website because it dives a little further into the topic of which type of image you should use. This site is helpful because it is very clear that you should use vector images for logos and illustrations and raster images should be used for digital graphics and digital photography. Knowing when to use each type of imaging is critical when beginning a project.

A website created to help keep the internet accessible and understandable. There is software, and group chats that answer questions about different types of information links and further explains how to use the new updating web.
