I really like how this article ties directly to new media, which connects to what we learn in class everyday. It makes me interested in the book that is being reviewed.

I thought this site was interesting because it deals with oscillation and new media technologies.

Although I know we should not rely on wikipedia for a whole lot of scholarly information, I do believe this wiki page is a very good glimpse into the history of computing and computing hardware.

This website gives some tips on what designer needs to know about typography and how to correctly use it in a design. It tells you to read your design first to make sure that you understand it. If you are having trouble, then of course someone else will as well. It also tells you to keep titles big that way people can identify what the title is. This website provides some inspiring examples of typography being used effectively in web design. These examples are incredibly useful for anyone interested in designing a website because they show you how to properly utilize typography. Each of these examples chose the perfect type to build there website around and the typography really adds to the overall site.

A cool little video that talks more about conceptual unity when it is used in design. I like the images and how the information is broken down.

This resource is sort of an aggregate of several resources. Each goes into and provides different perspectives of how typography can and is used. There is a lot of variance to each and I like all of the differentiation. (Week 11, 12/1)

This website has a slide show about design as a whole in general and the defintions and concepts of emphasis are also pretty good. This slide show is really good.

This google ebook provides a detailed account of writing in the technical field. It gives an indepth profile on what is required in writing instructions. I technical write for a sofware company & I found the items discusses very poignant & helpful.

This is a rather lengthy article, but it provides good insight into why we write instructions and how to effectively do so. I think this article will help me with the project because I like thinking about the cognitive processes behind reading what is writtena nd I hope to incorporate some of the article's information into the project.

CHAPTER 7:FLOW This site gives tons of examples of great flow in websites and I found it very helpful in brainstorming ideas for project 2.

This video goes into the science behind how our eyes flow across a web page and how the lack of flow can make a company loose money from their website. Our eyes are sensitive to color and detail as well as motion and contrast.
