This website is really good on explaining what not to do in a video resume. I thought that this webpage was humorous and provided some really good tips.

The ten steps required to produce a good video resume include quality, appearance, language, substance, creativity, background, character, editing, references, and length. Video and paper resumes requirements are not that different. But a video resume can help you exploit your creativity and character.

This website introduced me to several different tools that can help a web designer choose the proper typography for their website. I found these tools to be very interesting, innovative and useful. I would encourage anyone interested in web design to take a look at these tools as they could provide very interesting insights in the future.

This is a website with some examples of poorly designed web pages.

I like this resource because it takes a lot of the ideas we have already looked at and approaches them from a composition & layout perspective. We have seen what each is and what they do; this provides some depth into what each can do/does for the composition of a text. (10/5/13)

While old, I like this resource for two reasons. It gives a snapshot of a problem that we are able to use and relate to today. We are able to see the sort of things they were thinking and how we have evolved or regressed. I also like how it is not just talking about the digital divide, but actually going in to "Where We Are" (or were in 2002). (12/10 Week 14)

I like this resource because it moves beyond the "whats" of repetition and rhythm and analyzes the real world effects it has and can be used for. (10/15)

Offers a detailed account on effective design principles. Also points out that knowing audience is very important.

I did not quite understand the section in chapter 1 about copywriting, until I found this website. This page takes the main points explained in the book, but goes into more detail. Push Chapter 1

Some more advanced principals of design that can be used to attract readers. This particular page goes over how elements in web page design can be put in balance to create greater (or lesser) impact to an audience.

I think this is a great resource because it caters directly to digital writing in that it is aimed at how balance works and can be achieved in web design. (10/14)
