centerNet defines itself as an "International Network of Digital Humanities Centers." It has added over 200 members from about 100 centers in 19 countries since its foundation in 2007. The website organizes news and current events in the field of digital humanities, making it very user friendly and a valuable source for those wishing to keep up to date. There are also sections on the website for publications, other resources, conferences, awards, committees, and how to join ADHO.

The article explores the visions and expectations associated with the digital humanities.
