    Ira Sager the journalist of the this article talks about how much money is wasted because of food waste. She goes on to say how many pounds of food is wasted. The number one thing that is thrown away is food scrapes, not plastic or paper. Those food scrapes we could be composting. She stated that wasting food is a cultural habit. We are use to doing it and it is culturally acceptable. Breaking this awful food waste habit then there is going to have to be an adjustment in our society. Also she talks about how many people think the government needs to get involved and do something about food waste.
