Great idea! I just read an article about polling and thought of this type of application. Students might interact more if they were not so afraid of public failure. This could gie them the anonymity they are seeking!

Some parents and teachers using media on the class may not be familiar with ESRB ratings. This site helps to clarify media content issues. The site also helps to inform parents. A nice add on to any educator website link list. I was able to get them to send me a set of bookmarks for my library a couple of years ago. :)

This was a cool site with nice videos. Chemistry is complex to students with low reading levels, videos are extremely helpful.

I was turned on to this site in my Elementary Ed program. I used this in my 6th and 8th grade classes as ice breakers and for groups. Knowing a students learning style can assist with many overlooked academic and discipline issues. One example, kids that looked bored in lecture classes really loved the hands on labs and vice versa. Trying to hit multiple learning styles helps reach more learners and increases the exposure to the learning goals.

You may be thinking it is just a magazine but it is also the cutting edge, and beyond, of technology information. I learn more about technology and subsequently my students by reading this above all else.

An intruiging search engine provided by google that allows you to search for one topic (ex: fractions) and gives you books, translations, videos, 3D explorations and more.
