Link to FLDOE website providing publications and papers in various areas of education, of particular interest to be was the field of Exceptional Education and Student Services.

I thought this was interesting since last week a lot of our complaints were the budget. I am still searching through the 320 page document, but it seems that our request for technology went down this year from last! Like Dr. K said though, "don't complain about what you can't change!"
The purpose of the professional development system is to increase student achievement, enhance classroom instructional strategies that promote rigor and relevance throughout the curriculum, and prepare students for continuing education and the workforce. Professional learning is the result of the individual's commitment to improvement.
This is an interesting look into the process our test-makers and standard-setters go through when evaluating content requirements of the FSA and determining what makes a "passing" score. I would give anything to have been able to participate in this panel! I can't imagine what kind of insight those attending back in 2015 received about the "mysterious" FSA test.
One great way to incorporate technology in the classroom is to have a focus on STEM learning. FLDOE provides a "teacher toolkit"for grades k-5 with resources to help incorporate STEM into standard based instruction. Including direct links to online learning activities.
This link from the FLDOE takes you straight to its Teacher Certification page. You can look up requirements, request a copy of your teaching certificate, renew your old certificate, and many more. Great link to add to your bookmarks!
Are you looking to renew your Florida Educator Certificate?
Make sure you check out this section and look for new requirements constantly.
Renewal requirements must be completed during the last validity period of the Professional Certificate and prior to expiration of the Professional Certificate.
The purpose of Florida educator certification is to support the academic achievement of our students by assuring that our educators are professionally qualified for highly effective instruction. Florida educators must be certified to teach in our public schools and in many of our private schools.
Being the "Teacher friend" in the group you always get asked for the certification process, this has all the information needed and I know I've used it plenty of times.
The Florida Department of Education allows educators see if they are qualified to teach a specific grade or specific subject area. FLDOE also allows teachers coming from out of state to see if they also carry the requirements to teach or if they have to take specific exams or other ways to get certified in the state of Florida.
This site also leads you to CPALMS which helps teachers create various lesson plans based on the required learning curriculum. CPALMS can not only be reached on the attached link but it can be reached at http://www.cpalms.org/Public/
The main page for anything you need to find in relation to a Florida Teaching certificate, including checking application status, examinations, steps to certification, etc.

This is part of the FlDOE website. The problem with the site is it vast. When you log in navigating is not impossible just more complex due to the amount of information on the site. I selected this link because it takes you directly to the FCAT links and resources offered by the DOE.
I thought this was interesting. By using the FLDOE website, you can search for your district and see what their District Plan is for the year. I know we have been introduced to it in my school, but this goes into depth. It's great to know what you are working towards.
The FLDOE website is so full of information sometimes navigation can be a challenge. I liked this list of Florida fieldtrip resources. Many have free teacher resources.
I know field trips are not as easy to organize these days, but here's a link of Florida field trip locations I found on the DoE web site. A lot of these locations have pretty cool interactive web sites that offer "digital field trips" which could be an alternative.
The item specifications part of the FLDOE website has been critical to prepare my students for FCA's and FCAT. If you find the item specification you can read to find out which pieces of information are tested. I try not to exclude data, but to ensure I cover the material being tested thoroughly. One example are states of matter teach three states or four states? Plasma is a state of matter not tested until high school. I include it to provoke thought, but I do not make it the main focus of my sixth grade lessons.
This link is a resource for current and prospective Florida teachers and is extremely valuable in keeping up with the latest additions and changes to the necessary teaching certificates required to become an instructor.
An open repository of free and fee-based digital content that is searchable, educationally relevant and aligned to Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
Found on the FLDOE site - great tool for finding virtual curriculum items related to Sunshine Standards. Not everything on the site is free, but some are. Pulled from the left link menu on the FLDOE main website.
FloridaVCM provides many digital curriculum resources to teachers, registration seems to be required. Many digital learning experiences can be purchased by teachers, and some resources seem to be free (once you register).
