Those same tools can be used to establish a community of practice (CoP) where participants connect to nurture and learn from one another. "Many ideas grow better when transplanted into another mind than the one where they sprang up." - Oliver Wendell Holmes CoPs are organized either formally or through happenstance. They may focus on promoting a business, or on training and professional development, or even on a hobby or topic. Membership in a CoP requires a passion for the community's domain, a willingness to contribute to its knowledge base, and application of new skills.
