This is the "site community" for my blog -- I'm learning a lot about what people have marked and the annotations feature is really cool. If you blog or have a website, you should look at the automatically created site community -- also check it out for those sites you really enjoy reading -- you may turn up some of their great old posts that you've not read!

Cool website that turns real photos into cartoons uvatar (looks more like you than a random avatar) and video cartoonizer (Cool) which takes video and turns it into a cartoon. This should be another Cool website to enjoy w/ your digital photography and eventually videos.

Celestia is a free and open source space simulator that allows you to explore space right from your computer. Celestia is available for download on Windows, Mac OS X, and even Linux. Celestia has many very cool features, including an eclipse finder. Not only does the eclipse finder allow you to find solar and lunar eclipses on Earth, but you can seek eclipses on other planets as well. I found out something really cool when checking out eclipses on Jupiter - because Jupiter is very large and has many moons, solar eclipses are very common.

Cool firefox add on that allows you to pull comments into google reader. It is called greactions and is very Cool.

Here is a beautiful webquest which uses links to many Educational Technology leaders and also some fascinating videos. I love this because it is a great activity to share with beginners, but also because of the super-cool layout and integration of a variety of media. I want to find out how they did this? Just creating a web page or with another tool. cool PD tool to share.

My new friend at CAST (and UDL expert) shared this cool resource with me called bookbuilder. This is a link to a presentation and a podcast can be found at - http://www.cyberears.com/cybrss/6373.mp3 about how bookbuilder can be used as a product or tool used students to demonstrate their content knowledge. I love how each student can have comments or information they post on their slides about a topic. This is very very cool and accessible to all! This presentation demonstrates what can be done and I can't wait to work with the back end!

Another cool tool. This is from a UK site so they call these "plenaries" but they are 140 lesson plan ideas. You'll have to sign up for a free TES account but this is  a cool powerpoint.

This plug in is an incredible way to find pictures and graphics on the web. It is in Chrome and Firefox as a plug in and is very cool.
