  • You may have heard the news last week that Articulate launched a new screencasting tool called Screenr.  It is a free web-based tool that lets you create screencasts without installing any software.
  • My favorite…there’s no branding on the downloaded MP4 files.  Since you can download the videos, you’re free to use them as you wish.  That means you can use it in your elearning courses without looking like one of those MLS soccer players.  Go Sounders!  And of course, Screenr is free.  Free is always good.

    KNowmania is a very cool website which now has an app. You'll want to look at the online site, but if you're looking at flipping and have detailed screencasts, etc, this is a nice site.     This is an amazing site that allows you to share your screen live with up to 250 viewers for free. You can even view the screencast on ipad/iPhone and Android phones. Perhaps most exciting of all is that you can use the site to control the viewed computer remotely, a useful feature for fixing any computer problems from afar.     Multimedia online note taking tool. Students can capture screen images, make audio recordings for notes, or write text notes to accompany drawings. These different media can then be organized into videos!  I envision it being similar to Evernote with more interaction capabilities and with the great addition of being able to create videos of the information gathered. I like this tool!
