This is an awesome website with a great multimedia video that is itself conceived with Universal Design principles in mind as the narrator's comments are written at the bottom of the screen for people who might be hearing impaired. The video presentation is geared toward people like me who are passionate about creating accessible faculty websites. The coherent structure of the video promotes active engagement and requires focuses on cognitive activity. In addition, the careful selection of relevant information presented seems to take into account Mayers' limited capacity principle from the cognitive theory of multimedia learning(Mayer, 2009). To me, this workshop is undoubtedly a learner-center approach to learning.

This webinar suggests 10 reasons for incorporating ADA compliance. It provides active learning based on Mayer's dual processing incorporating audio and visual channels. However, the active learning of this presentation is low. Much of the information presented contains extraneous information and this is a very long, slow-moving webcast. Even still, the information contained is useful and appropriate.

Blackboard 9+ offers collaborative tools within their learning environment. These tutorials offer a great learning tool for the presentation.

LMS have taken collaboration and made it easy. Rather than accessing numerous external sites, they've included blogs, wikis, and social bookmarking, such as diigo.

This articulate video offers learners in my course two things - prelearning on best practices in use and presentation of using Wimba Classroom. Audio and visual cues segment, highlight, and clearly focus the learner on the topic. This video follow is well organized, short, easy to access, and 508 compliant.

Slideshare allows users to share their slides regardless of program installation. It also allows the user to edit slides in the spirit of connectivism. The option for embedding slides is easy and useful when helping students transfer knowledge. Slideshare allows students to receive feedback from others which in turn will help their senior project presentation.

Create online training tools and materials as well as follow-up sessions. This system facilitates sharing courses. You can upload existing presentations. Automates invites and tracks trainees' progress.

Lectora is a flash-based application that allows you to create more interactive, engaging presentations. When compared to PowerPoint, the application seems to have far more depth and capabilities, allowing the user to design and build fully integrated presentations. PowerPoint and similar applications, while valuable in some regard, tend to be boring for participants to view. In addition, it is at times difficult to create interactions in these applications. Lectora is specifically designed to be more engaging and interactive, both when viewed independently by participants, and when employed at the group level in a training.

Jing is an online computer service that provides its users with the capability to capture basic video, animation, and still images, while also being able to share what has been captured on the web with others. Jing can capture anything displayed on the computer screen, including pictures, video, and even movements of the mouse. The final product can be saved for further use, shared online, or emailed to others, but videos are limited to five minutes. Jing is considered a technology-centered program that has the capability to produce learning. The technology-centered approach fails to lean to lasting improvements in education, therefore, the use of Jing alone would not warrant effective learning. This particular screencasting program is one of the best, because it is free and it can be used in a number of ways (from pre-training, to teaching, to presenting).

Students can demonstrate procedural knowledge through the use of this program and make sense of processes. In addition, teachers can share vast guidance on how online programs and feature work through the creation of screencasts. o The site is free which is pretty incredible considering you can also host your videos and share them via a url which makes emailing large files much easier. The site is easy to use and the quality of the screencasts remarkable.
