How to use Movie Maker and Videos to enhance learning in the classroom | InnovativeICT.net - 2 views

  •
The first impression on this site was that it would have been an audio and visual presentation of movie maker how to. This tutorial became quickly less appealing when there was no sound and it was all text with nice visual effects. This site focused on behavioral activity because it used chunking to break down the parts of the tutorial into manageable sections. After reviewing this website it lead to the assumption that it was technology centered approach because this tutorial has no connection of prior knowledge or any type of feedback (Mayer, 2010).

TagCrowd - 0 views

TagCrowd (http://tagcrowd.com/) takes the presentation that one is going to do in class and creates a word cloud of the words that are most important to the training topic. Students can see which words will be most relevant to what they are learning by the size of the words in the word cloud. TagCrowd allows its users the option to download the word cloud to a pdf file or it gives it the code to embed into a website of blog. TagCrowd does allow the user to change the fonts, style, color scheme but for a small onetime fee of $19. The ability to omit words, determine the number of vocabulary words that you want your word cloud to have and the embed codes given to you make it surpass some of their free counterparts like Wordle because what you can do with the word cloud once it is completed is limited.

2.103 interesting ways to use an iPad in the classroom - 0 views

  •
This Web site includes 103 different ways that the iPad can be used in the classroom. Some of the apps listed are free, while others are very inexpensive in price. Additionally, some of the apps are for lower level learners (elementary), while some are from higher level learners (high school). The apps make for a learner centered approach to learning, as the information can be as simple or as complex as needed to reach an array of learners. Because of this, the active engagement required focuses on cognitive activity.
