MovieMaker Tutorials - 0 views

This school based instructional site supports students or teachers wanting to learn how to use Moviemaker through the use of a tutorial. Each link provides voice and visual effects for learning how to do step by step instructions on how to use the Moviemaker. This site proves that behavioral methods are used because it is broken down in small learning chunks. The overall design fits Mayer's learner centered approach by using relevant material, multiple techniques and organization for mental processing (Mayer, 2010). In this site problem based learning integrates technology to enhance learning.

The first impression on this site was that it would have been an audio and visual presentation of movie maker how to. This tutorial became quickly less appealing when there was no sound and it was all text with nice visual effects. This site focused on behavioral activity because it used chunking to break down the parts of the tutorial into manageable sections. After reviewing this website it lead to the assumption that it was technology centered approach because this tutorial has no connection of prior knowledge or any type of feedback (Mayer, 2010).

Windows Live Movie Maker in the classroom - 2 views

The Microsoft Movie maker site uses cogitative activity to teach learners how to create multimedia presentations. This site supports the learning needs by using audio and imagery when students create and share their movies. Mayer (2010) is a strong believer that verbal and visual representation is essential to process and organize data. In using Mayer's dual channel system the system uses the learner-centered approach since the design features are simple (2010).
