This website would be good to use for Graphic organizers that can be used by the instructor or by the learners. It is based on the idea of collaboration. The instructor can use it as a way of including the learners in a lesson. The learners can use it collaboratively for an assignment.

Google Wave is an interactive communication and collaboration tool that makes real-time interactions happen. Communication and collaboration can be done using richly formatted text, photos, videos, and maps. You can keep a single copy of ideas, suggested itinerary, menu and RSVPs, rather than using many different tools. Widgets can also be used for weather, maps and more to add to the event. Users can participate or edit the wave at anytime and rewind to see who said what and when. Teachers will find this very useful for editing essays and students will find it very useful for group work. It has a lot of great potential!

Webspiration http://www.mywebspiration.com/about Webspiration is one of the best tools for gathering and organizing information that I have ever used. Webspiration allows the user to group information into any type of format that works for them. There are mapping tools, charting tools and my favorite thing about Webspiration is that with a click of the button all the information that you have used to create your mind map or chart can become a wonderfully organized outline. Webspiration allows users to be visual learners which can help them retain information. The main reason that I chose Webspiration as one of my graphic organizer websites was because Webspiration has a collaboration feature which many other sites do not. The collaboration feature is wonderful because it is always available with an internet connection, it helps keep the lines of communication open between group members and Webspiration automatically saves the work you have completed. I love the fact that I do not have to worry about losing my documents. Webspiration also lets users share their creations by posting them to a web page where they can be accessed by anyone. Webspiration is probably the best thing I have learned so far through my classes at Walden.

Classroom 2.0 is a social network for educators who are interested in the use of Web 2.0 or collaborative technologies in the classroom. I will use it for them to review each feature of this website and to consider or brainstorm what things they would like to incorporate into their own. It is a great source of ideas and a great place to collaborate with teachers of all levels.

I actually have to create a portfolio and it is easy to house on a site like this. It is easily accessible. It provides many user friendly functions and can adequately host or be any authentic assessment. Functions are straightforward and can easily share site for collaboration.

Wallwisher is in the generative level of cognitive processing, because participants are challenged to apply and synthesize what is learned. The site is useful for many reasons. It can include multimedia elements, such as images or embedded videos. It is extremely easy to set up and create. It can also be embedded into other sites, where users can add content without visiting the home page.
