"In Dun Laoghaire the "Festival of World Culture" took place from 21. to 24. of August 2008. Edgar Müller has followed the invitation and continued his series of large-sized 3D Street Art there. For this year's Festival of World Cultures renowned German street painting artist Edgar Müller transformed a huge slice of the East Pier into a dramatic ice age scene. This project was supported by the Goethe Institution Germany."

FORGET about postcodes and street numbers. A new mapping system called 'what3words' can find any searchable spot on the globe with a three-word code. The London-based start-up has divided Earth into 57 trillion squares, each of them three square metres large. Every individual square has been assigned a unique three-word code. With a simple, map-based search, you can pinpoint any location and find its code in a matter of seconds. It sure beats writing down a full address.

FOMO, you're not alone with your FOMO. There are other people out there just like you, and they've gone public with their problem. The iPhone and Android app TimeRazor, which finds and suggests fun activities in your area, recently pulled research from studies and articles by JWTIntelligence, comScore and The Wall Street Journal to produce the infographic below. Spotzi shows you the world in a unique and astonishing way. It not only shows you street maps and high detail areal maps. That's just a starter. Spotzi goes beyond any political border and zooms in to any aspect of our planet. This has been made possible by the extent data resources at NASA, the World Bank and our own data warehouse. By clicking the themes at the left you can start browsing for almost any theme you might be interested in. Locations of animals, temperatures on earth and the grand tectonic plates are just some examples of the thousands of themes available. It is all map based. Why? A map tells you more than a thousand words. Each theme has its own map and will be activated by clicking on the theme of your interest.

Time for a virtual field trip? Note to Google: Wouldn't it be fantastic if we could (virtually) 'label' the scenes with pop-ups in a similar way to how we do that on Google maps?
