Well on one random post, I grabbed one random picture off of google and then a few weeks later I got contacted by the photographer who owned that photo. He sent me a takedown notice, which I responded to immediately because I felt awful that I had unknowingly used a copyrighted pic. The pic was down within minutes. But that wasn't going to cut it. He wanted compensation for the pic. A significant chunk of money that I couldn't afford. I'm not going to go into the details but know that it was a lot of stress, lawyers had to get involved, and I had to pay money that I didn't have for a use of a photo I didn't need.

Some interesting apps here to support the teaching of Mathematics. I have used Dragonbox+ its awesome for teaching Algebra. Great for high flying grade 6's to year 8's Developers have introduced a greater range of apps across all areas of the Maths curriculum that can be used to enhance the Maths teaching and learning in your classroom. Here's a selection of 20 apps that cover Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability ( these are the Content strands (CS) Australia's Mathematics curriculum has been categorized under ). They also cover the proficiency strands (PS) of Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving and Reasoning. I'm sure other countries' curricula are similar in many regards and you will be able to make the connections.

These are a set of cards which flip over to reveal tips on how to use Google Tools. They are being continually added to and you can make suggestions for new tips. Because of the random nature of the tips they are probably more a 'fun' activity rather than a great Google reference point.

Matka originated as a game called Ankadar Jugar, when people would bet on the closing price of cotton in the New York stock exchange. It became popular in the 1970s when Rhatan Khatri ran the matka racket in Mumbai. Truth be told, pesticides may be present in vegatables and fruits we eat fruit wholesale. They're primarily used through the cultivation of crops and perhaps may remain as residues. Recently many advocacy groups and NGOs conducted random testing on vegatables and fruits and located unacceptably high levels of pesticide residue in them.
