You can save about $3500 hundred dollars per classroom if you buy a tablet and projector rather than an interactive whiteboard and get the same results, but you don't know that because this and other research (almost always commissioned by IWB companies) is purposely misleading you, comparing classrooms with IWBs to those without technology rather than comparing classrooms with IWBs to the much less expensive projectors/laptop or projector/tablet combo.

Straw Poll just does one thing - it lets you create a poll and use it right away. In fact, it's so well designed, you could actually create the poll displaying the work on the class data projector live and then just use it.

This infographic from Droid-Life.com gives an outline on some of the inner workings of Google's newest and most ambitious pet project, Google Glass. The graphic shows that a small projector projects an image through a prism, which puts the image directly on the user's retina, creating a small layer over the reality in the background. The "Google Glass" component's position on the frame is also adjustable, making the display layer able to be positioned in various areas within the user's field of vision.

I've been testing this quite a bit and can certainly see potential use especially in schools and workplaces that still use analogue projectors.

AirPlay is a very simple method for promoting sharing and collaboration in your classroom ... and it's an option that comes at a relatively affordable cost.
