Teaching Channel is a video showcase -- on the Internet and TV -- of inspiring and effective teaching practices in America's schools. We are a nonprofit organization. We believe what makes teachers inspiring is how they became experts-the hours and years they've dedicated to improving their craft to benefit their students. Getting a new channel set up is a simple and quick process, though. Go to YouTube and sign in. Head over to YouTube.com and click 'sign in' in the top right corner of the page

The SparkNotes YouTube channel offers 23 short animated video overviews of literature commonly read in US high school courses.

Their Youtube channel has some excellent videos *especially* the RSA Animate ones - incredible! "The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has been a cradle of enlightenment thinking and a force for social progress. Our approach is multi-disciplinary, politically independent and combines cutting edge research and policy development with practical action."

Though US focused this list from the Online Colleges is useful nonetheless "For teachers hoping to infuse multimedia into their classrooms, YouTube makes for an excellent starting point. Plenty of universities, nonprofits, organizations, museums and more post videos for the cause of education both in and out of schools. The following list compiles some of the ones most worthy of attention, as they feature plenty of solid content appealing to their respective audiences and actively try to make viewers smarter."

A very cool YouTube channel by Numberphile which provides practical explanaitons of real life mathematical concepts.  

James May and his crack team of scientists, mathematicians, comedians react to whatever is in the news, trending online or being discussed at the water cooler. Providing leftfield insights, sideways interpretations, bizarre facts and hilarious animation, this channel is a mix of science, technology, history and current affairs.
