AnthonyTeacher has "made an amazing little gradebook on Google Spreadsheets which allows students to view their individual grades in realtime. This means students click on my gradebook link and are taken directly to a page that shows only their grades. Any change I make in my gradebook will be reflected in their grade report automatically when they refresh or visit again."

Every Year 8 student at Warwick Senior High School has been given an iPod to use during class and school hours to research, access school-created information and download relevant applications. Assignments and homework can also be completed online. A huge array of applications has been made available to download, enabling students to create practice tests, learn about percentages and translate voice recordings.

Blubbr is a free, website that lets you create and play quiz games from YouTube videos. The site calls these "Trivs". You can play trivs in different categories, from celebs and music to sport and education. These trivs can then be shared with anyone across the internet. You sign in with Twitter or Facebook.

This could be used for neighbors to comment on homes with good or poor landscaping. Or who should win holiday lights contest.
