I immediately was overwhelmed with the look of this website. Im sure there is probably some good links and good information, but all of the words were so small because of all the amount of words on the site. This made me now even want to continue looking through it.

This website provides a lot of great resources for teachers to use in the classroom.  It provides lesson planning ideas which include interactive activities and games to use in the classroom.  Also, professional development activities are provided on topics such as classroom management.  Additionally, there are many technology integration ideas provided.  There are also newsletters, blogs, and other resources on this site.
  •
This is one of my favorite websites because it is a good source to use for lesson plans.
  •
I was not a fan of this website because when I first clicked on it a pop up came up. Also, I feel like there are a ton of links and little words all over the website. It seems overwhelming. I did not like navigating this page, therefore it is one of my least favorites.

There are some good aspects to this website as well as some good information, however, it is not that easy to navigate for children and a little cluttered. Also, on the side bars there are links to facebook and twitter, which if this site is used in a classroom children do not need to have access to such websites.

Although this website has a lot of good information, and is easy to read and navigate, the information is not always factual or credible. Not a good website to depend on because of this.

This website provides many different resources for students and teachers.  It provides worksheets for kids about current events, quizzes, different types of graphic organizers, and more.  Also, there are mini-lessons that students can look at.  Students can also read different stories and current events and choose the reading level.  Games are also provided on this site.  There are many other resources that make this website a good one.

This is a great website for kids, as well as teachers. There are great articles students can read, as well as worksheets and graphic organizers. This is also a good site teachers can use to print off excerpts or articles for students to read in class or use for instruction.

Great Website: Math Play Ground - 1 views

I like this website because it is more than just games. There is a link to math videos that teach students. There is a lot topics covered on this website. The games are also good and progressively move up in skill level. I think this would be good website to help kids practice math.

I love this website for kids. It is easy to navigate, pleasing to the eye, and has lots of good information for learning as well as games. It allows kids to see pictures as well as read about different animals and science topics. This is a great website to be used in the classroom.

This website has lots of drill and practice work. The exercises are colorful and animated. This keeps the attention of students. There is a lot of variety in types of tasks, including science, math, and language. The difficulty of each exercise grows with the number of correct answers. Immediate feedback is provided on everything.

Fun brain has some great games for students to learn different things, but some of the games are not very educational.
  •
I can honestly say that I enjoy this site. Out of 10, this site will be raked at six. K-8 students are the intended audience for this site. They do have many interactive games, but the attention of the students sometimes worry about "playing" and do not focus on learning.
  •
This is also one of my least favorite websites because once again it has a lot of games that students like to play but not a lot of learning is done
  •
I like this website because it is not only for kids but also for teachers. It has math and reading games, as well as other types of games and information. I think this would be a good site for young students to use in centers in a class or for extension activities.

Discovery Kids functions as an educational site for kids ages 6-12. The site is very visually attractive and has plenty of games to play and fun facts to learn. Most of the facts relate to questions that the children have always wanted to know.

I really like this website. I am Elementary, so this is a good website for younger kids. It has many games on it, and it is easy to navigate. It also has some good information on it for kids.

I also love the pronunciation feature.

A basic reference site, this was second in line to Google for my former classroom information retrieval activities. Since we had to define and discuss big ideas just prior to art-making, we almost always used dictionary.com along with an old Merriam-Webster paperback (donated by the library) to make comparisons. Advantages are that a list of synonyms and antonyms, sample sentences accompany definitions. There was a drop-down search option for the thesaurus are available here, but I presume it became its own separate identity...

Wonderful to display to the whole class

This is not necessarily specific to education, but it is an awesome tool to use the in the classroom. The students can clearly see how much time is left in the activity and it is very easy to use. If you have sound available it rings at the end of time, but if you don't there is a visual change in the screen to indicate the end.

Classroom Activities with TI Graphing Calculators - 2 views

This website provides a teacher with a lot of information, not only for their own education regarding a graphing calculator, but also provides lessons and activities to use in the classroom. All the information for how to do something on the calculator is step-by-step and is accompanied with screen shots, which are very helpful to ensure that you are where you need to be.

This website has a lot of similarities to the NCTM Illuminations, providing applets, lesson plans and the ability to search everything using a variety of categories. To top off all the great activities and lessons, they are all FREE! Shodor also listens to teachers' suggestions regarding activities to be added or ways to update the existing functions.

These activities range from online applets, interactivities, and lesson plans. Everything on this website is free! You can use these through a whole class discussion or give the students the website and have them explore themselves using an applet. The activities can be easily searched through grade level or through the standards.

I have used this many times in my classroom and made the website available to my students for review for a test. I like the fact that many things on this website are free, but also the all the answers are available to the free worksheets. I have not explored the free trial and what that provides, but the free information covers many topics and levels across mathematics.

This website is an ask and answer website for math questions. Sometimes the topic you need is not available, so it makes it difficult to find an answer to your question sometimes. Or if your topic is available it is not the aspect that you were looking for.

This website has information available for all subject areas and includes worksheets and puzzles. The problem I have with this website is that you must pay in order to create your own worksheets from the bank of questions. There are "free" worksheets available, but sometimes the answers are not available, or some of the problems may be blocked out.
