Yonkly is a resource very similar to Twitter. To quote from its website it "allows you to create a white-label microblog community that is fully customizable". This resource would allow someone to keep up with the user of Yonkly. It's extremely easy to navigate, and while complicated when you read into all the technical aspects of it (like I did), it really is a good alternative tool for social networking.

A classroom teacher could create a class webpage that parents can access, increasing the parents' classroom involvement. My favorite part of this website is that there are preloaded templates to make designing a page simpler. One option even looks like a page from a scrapbook, allowing the teacher to make a "scrapbook" of her class.

Some of these categories include alphabet, animals, holidays, insects, and pets. After students finish their coloring creations, they can save them into their own personal gallery and also print them off of the computer.
