There were some fantastic analogies in this clip with relating thoughts to germs and the cat photo with a caption to a super flu because as we all know the "No cat" has literally gone viral and turned into a common household picture after being printed on mugs, cushions, cards, stationary and other items. I hadn't expected that anger would have been the most common emotion to provoke a media frenzy but at the same time its not really a surprise. It's said that if a customer has a bad experience with a company they're dealt with they will tell all their friends but if they have a good experience they only share it with few people. This clip is a good example that anger motivates us to reach out to others and share the information we know about what has enraged us probably due to an inbuilt survival mechanism from times when sharing this information ensured human safety.

This article really makes you appreciate the days before the internet. When I was in school we texted each other and used MSN when on the internet and toward then end of high school we used MySpace. Cyberbullying and sexting didn't seem to be an issue either. But the negatives of social media seem to out weight the positives especially when you remember the world without it. One of the growing concerns, as addressed in the article, is sleep deprivation due to internet addiction. This can lead to some serious issues not just due to sleep deprivation but what children are looking up online and the websites they are accessing.

I really like how this youtube clip basically informs us that an "addictive personality" is more of a saying based on a misinterpretation. I had always thought that an addictive personality was the personality type of a smoker, gambling addict or anorexic rather than an misused adjective. It's really good information to know.

I really like this article. Most people think exercise equals health without thinking about the other things it can do to your body. I know a marathon runner who has had to have a knee replacement as the cartridge in his knee was worn away after years and years of long distance running and to this day it is still not the same. I think running is a fantastic and inexpensive way of keeping fit but like with most things in life, it should only be in moderation.
