    In regards to an 'Addictive Personality'

    I really like how this youtube clip basically informs us that an "addictive personality" is more of a saying based on a misinterpretation. I had always thought that an addictive personality was the personality type of a smoker, gambling addict or anorexic rather than an misused adjective. It's really good information to know.

    It's intriguing that despite the academic conducting the early research into the possibility of an addictive personality, Dr Allan Lang, stating that "There is no single, unique personality entity that is a necessary and sufficient condition for substance abuse" his report was "cherry picked" for information from the outset and the theory prevailed. It just goes to show how easily information and research can be misrepresented in order to satisfy the whims of another.
