Don't know how many of these are still around since 2008 but here's some other online presentation options besides Prezi. They'd make good digital literacy labs.

The NEW LDS.org - 1 views

I have had a lot of fun with this. There is a new ward callendar and directory that are far easier to use and add to then the old calendars and are far more efficent. Also, as a Ward Executive Secretary it allows me to get on to a large chunk of the MLS enabling me to get most of my work done without having to kick the Ward Clerk off of the churches computers.
  •
So cool! I love this. We just went over all this in church. You gotta love having the best calling!

Here is a link to that Trillions video about the future of computing.  Its really interesting to think of not only the amount of digital interfaces, but the new ways in which they will interact with us.

Social reading -- sounds exciting. I've been thinking how cool it would be to have a class group textbook online. SO like you go online to yoru textbook for your class and you can see what other classmates have highlighted and commented on and tagged and add your own thoughts to the discussion. They can link to their blog posts about a subject in teh book that they did expanded self-directed learning on or just that they thought about more, etc. Sounds SUPER cool, huh? (ok ok, I'll blog about it)

Project Pumpkin | Collaboration - 0 views

  • Classrooms will need three (3) pumpkins that range in weight from 1 to 3 pounds. Prior to cutting into the pumpkins, students will first make estimates and then take various measurements of each pumpkin. Students will then count the seeds contained within each pumpkin. All data, other than estimates, will be posted to the TTC web site. As pumpkin data begins to be uploaded to the site, classes can begin analyzing the data.
