Nutritional counseling is also a treatment by eating healthier to maintain your body healthy. However, some patients need a medically supervised diet to get back to a healthy weight.

With the treatment of therapy, counseling, and a supervised diet, many people who suffer from eating disorders can learn how to defeat them and avoid the possibility of facing the disorder again.

    The scary part of eating disorders is how deadly they can be. The more a person starves themselves, the more muscles are eaten up; including the heart. I think it would interesting to see how eating disorders manifest in different cultures or minority groups. I know that eating disorders for women can be different from that of men and the method of treating that is also interesting.
