Dogs are expensive. I wonder how effective this is compared to other cheaper treatments.
  •
I believe it is crucial for PTSD. I think there is no reason the insurance company shouldn't cover this for veterans.
  •
Dogs can be expensive but they can be so beneficial and such a cheaper effective way to help someone in need.

Meet America's New Breed of Service Dog: Emotional Support Animals - 0 views

  •
The key distinction to remember is that a psychiatric service animal is actually trained to perform certain tasks that are directly related to an individual's psychiatric disability. The dog's primary role is not to provide emotional support. It is to assist the owner with the accomplishment of vital tasks they otherwise would not be able to perform independently.

I agree this is a very controversial topic. In my opinion, it's truly hard to pick a side due to the fact that I understand both perspectives. Regardless, it's an issue that I hope gets resolved, eventually.
  •
I don't like the idea that "gun ownership deters crime." Criminals are criminals, because they don't consider the consequences of their actions. They don't evaluate if the person has a weapon, a child, or a dog. Gun ownership from my perspective only increases the likelyhood that one of those weapons is going to fire.
  •
Gun control is a difficult topic to discuss. More gun control laws will not end shootings. On both sides of the spectrum, there are pros and cons to more or less gun control laws.
