    A murderer on death row was administerd a lethal injection drug that has not been used before. He was sentenced in 1988. This was the last inmate to die on death row since the hold last year.

    The death penalty is a difficult one because if people can have mixed emotions about executing someone based their crime. I just try to put me self in the victims family shoes, Robert Brook and Robert McDowell. Mark Asay had not problem taking these lives and if that was my loved one, than I would want to see justice severed.

    When it comes to a case like this, I wholeheartedly believe that Mark Asay deserved death for his crimes. I also believe that strict punishments like the death penalty need to be kept and used in order to impact homicide rates and discourage evil.

    This article is very informational on the death penalty in Arizona. It shows a timeline on how the process started back in 1965, until current times. It ranges from hangings, to gas chambers, and now the lethal injections. There are examples provided as well on the different inmate cases that were sentenced the death penalty. It is more informational rather than argumentative on death penalties.

    Really interesting article. I had no idea all of the problems Arizona has had and the controversies involved. The timeline helped paint the picture of the major events, all which were new to me.

    In my opinion I'm not agree with death penalty for criminals. I know that some of them deserve death or more but I think we don't have the right to take lives away.

    I agree with you 100%. I liked this article because it stated facts on the death penalty in Arizona(informational), but it was not argumentative. It allowed me to become more educated on the topic.

If you mouse over 'Research Center', there is a link to the stances various religions have regarding assisted suicide.     I find it very sad that suicide is the third-leading cause of death for teens and young adults. This article is very clear on what signs to watch for, how to address the person if you do see signs and how to get them help. I feel that after reading this article I will feel more comfortable speaking up in a situation if needed. I hope you guys read this and share it with friends and family.

I believe she is very qualified and this article is highly reputable. However I would like to see some statistics that support some of the claims in the article. I spent about 10 minutes reviewing the information in this article and have found some conflicting information(s). https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/pdf/suicide-datasheet-a.pdf Above is a snap-sheet posted by the CDC summarizing suicide in 2015. The article I am responding to is dated August 15th. In both places the leading cause factor is different. The CDC claims that in ages 15-34 that suicide is the second largest contributing factor to teenage death. The internet is sleezy. I don't know what to believe anymore.

    This is a great article that goes into depth about what causes suicide, what to look out for, etc. Some parents are kind of in the dark about this type of stuff, so it's awesome that such a source exists for parents before it is too late. It makes me sad that it is the third-leading cause of death. A permanent solution to a temporary problem..

    I agree 101% how terrible it is that this is the third leading cause of death. Life should not be about spending your time planning on how it will end. I am now happy though that I have the right tools to know how to deal with this type of social justice.
