    I agree with Ash. As a race, humans tend to emulate and learn from each other, and has been proven by examining cultures and societies. With social media, anybody can "learn" behaviors, thoughts, or even actions from anybody. With this in mind, what do you think will happen to future generations on social media if they were, for example, consistently exposed (and as a result desensitized) to something like violence?

    Sadly this world has truly become run by social media and the input of people we have never, and will never, meet. The importance a "like" or "comment" has now definitely leads to declining mental health statuses. Some people are so based on the likes that their entire world would crumble. Companies pay people purely based on their likes and follower count and the power they hold over their viewers.

    Mental health is a really big deal, especially nowadays. Our predecessors commonly pushed down or ignored their mental health issues, but it's even worse for people today due to social media and other platforms. People today are becoming more mindful of social issues such as mental health and I think that's a really big deal.

    Big pharma companies have taken advantage of everyday Americans in need of their daily support during the chaotic times we live in. Many of the drugs used each day to help patients fighting Covid-19 have drastically gone up in price since the first case appeared in america. With these prices changes many Americans may not be able to get the proper help needed to get better, and as such may extend the time needed for us to fight off the virus as a whole.

    I personally did not know that this was happening right now, but it unfortunately makes sense because it is in such high demands. I do not think that they should be doing that & its awful that if someone can't pay for these drugs, they have a potential of losing their life, which should not be a problem.

    Of course big pharma would do this. By raising prices of these drugs, pharmaceutical companies are effectively making it more difficult for people with other healthcare conditions to afford these drugs. As an example, with the price of Ativan increasing, this may result in people who suffer from panic disorder to have difficulty affording a medication that they have a need for.

  • To deal with this new organization of consumer products and services, we need the concepts of information fiduciary and algorithmic nuisance. Home robots and smart appliances collect an enormous amount of information about us which, in theory, can be collated with information about many other people that is stored in the cloud. Home robots and smart appliances are always-on, interconnected cloud entities that rely on and contribute to huge databases.
  • The second set of issues is symbolized by the ideas of "the right to forget" and "fake news." These two issues may seem unrelated. In fact, they are about the same issue: a fundamental change in how freedom of speech is regulated in the digital era. This alteration in governance has two key elements. The first is a change in how governments regulate - or attempt to regulate - speech in the digital era, from "old school" to "new school" speech regulation. The second is that privately owned online platforms engage in private governance of speech.
  • Both the creation of a right to forget and recent calls for a solution to the problem of fake news are examples of a larger phenomenon: the emergence of a new form of government speech regulation.
  • Nation states have not abandoned old school speech regulation. But they have increasingly moved to new school speech regulation because online speech is hard to govern. Speakers may be judgment proof, anonymous, and located outside the country, and they may not be human at all, but an army of bots. The federal government ought to remove Comey from his position of power as he has said that Hillary should not be charged, although she committed a crime, and was exposed. In other words, he said she is above the law. Which no one person can be above the law in a republic, or a democracy, or any functioning country with laws.

    Drinking and driving is very common in today's society. I like this article because not only does it provide facts about faculties, but also provided a visual emotional touch while reading. People are effected everyday due to someone driving under the influence or while intoxicated. It's good we have things like Uber, taxi's, and buses that help lead away from driving drunk, which in return will lead to safer roads.

    Mexico city has a town Tenancingo known for human trafficking. It's so close to home that it's time for more attention to be put toward human trafficking. Taking young girls as young as 12 is horrifying. There are young girls in the united states that deal with being trafficked as well. These are mothers, daughters, nieces, and people who don't need to be put through such a traumatizing event. When human trafficking is brought up corruption comes to mind as well. There comanly seem to be police, judges, and political figures within trafficking. These girls need help but it's hard to see where the help will come from.

    I worry about how fast he is doing things and that he isn't really thinking through consequences. I'm not a big fan of Obamacare, but when faced with that or nothing, I'd stick with it, at least until something better can be found to make sure everyone has access to affordable health care.
