"De Mobo Slides is a great application to remotely control the presentations you create through Google Slides, Prezi, and Slideshare right from your iPhone or Android-operated device. The process is ver simple: you install De Mobo app on your mobile device and pair it with your computer using a generated code as shown in the video below. Once the two devices are connected you can then start streamlining presentations from your mobile device. However for this to work, you need to make sure both of the devices are connected on the same network. This poem generator makes you an instant poet. Pick a type of poem, place your words into the form, and you imediately become a success. The site, suitable for grades 5-12, consists of 60 kinds of writing activities in an interactive frame format including cinuain, haiku, limerick, septet, and other forms. Poems can then be exported into Word for revision and editing.

This PBS site has a Galileo biography, an exploration of Galileo's telescope, and other interesting articles as well as fun interactive activities for grades 6-12. These games feature animated experiments including Galileo's ingenious experiment on gravity demonstrating that all objects fall at the same rate. Teacher's can find an archive of over 120 companion Web sites to past Nova TV programs by interest, program title, or year of broadcast. There is a searchable teacher's section with classroom activities, TV program descriptions, related NOVA resources, and explorations for students. The video is not free but the interactive experiments on this site are very nice. They are animated and the kids predict what will happen before you activate the animations.

Graphic Map as its name suggests is designed to help students and teachers in their writing and reading activities. It works according to an evaluative system that charts the high and low points related to a certain item or group of items like : chapters in a book , sums of money, events during a span of time, scenes in a play.

You can for instance share your screen, collaborate on a Google Doc or even use a collaborative whiteboard. Hangouts can be recorded and streamed live on YouTube.

Read Print is a free service providing access to more than 8,000 free books and essays written by more than 3,500 authors. The titles available through Read Print are generally works that are in the public domain or have Creative Commons licensing. The collection of works contains many of the classics in fiction and non-fiction literature. In addition to books, poems, and essays you can also find plays on Read Print. You can search by author, title, or quotation for titles on Read Print. The Chemistry Add-in for Word makes it easier to insert and modify chemical information, such as labels, formulas, and 2-D depictions, within Microsoft Office Word. Additionally, it enables the creation of inline "chemical zones," the rendering of print-ready visual depictions of chemical structures, and the ability to store and expose chemical information in a semantically rich manner.

Timelines are great ways for students to organize and present information.

With a view of travel as an educational experience like no other, the project makes use of digital media to promote an understanding of different culture and customs to students worldwide. The site hosts virtual field trips to England, Jordan, and South Africa that include more than 160 fort films that correspond to the destinations. Each video explains more about the region's food, music, culture, and language. Since 2003, project explorer has counted more than a million visitors to the site from more than 40 different countries. Recently, it won a Parents' Choice Award for "Outstanding Web Programming." The site's developers qre not working to add a fourth field trip--this one to Malaysia--the Project Explorer has lesson for upper elementary, middle and high school. They plan to offer lesson specifically designed for the early grades.

History matters is a database of coursework, guides, and primary-source documetns on topics in American history, History Matters was produced by two academic programs at the City Unviersity of New York and George Mason University. The site is most useful for high school history teachers and studetns, and educators can use it as a professional-development resource. The Digital Blackboard page offersr curriculum guides with links to third-party reference sites. Another page hosts a series of Q & A interviews with history teachers, who reveal the secrets behind teaching a successful history course. The Students as Historians page links to web-based projects created by high school and college students. And don't forget to check out the primary-source search engine, located on the Many Pasts page. The search enging links to more than a thousand images, audio, and text-based documenets from American history sites across the Internet.

Wolfram/Alpha is to be the first web-based tool that can find answers to all systematic knowledge in the world. For educators, this "computational iknowledge engine" can find objective and fact-based answers for a variety of subject areas. Type in "Newton's Law," for example, and the formula for force is explained. Enter in an equation for a line, and the site plots the line on a graph. Ask "What is the GDP of the United States and Canada?" and a chart depicts a side-byside comparison of the nations' economic data.

TeAchnology is a site that has tons of resources for teachers. There are worksheets, lesson plans, rubrics, teacher resources, printables, tools, tips and there is a membership option. Some of the materials are available free as samples but if you want access to all of them I believe it is 29.99 a year.

Yodio enables students to create and participate in individual or collaborative digital storybooks using a mobile phone. For example: a class of 1st graders on a trip to the zoo creates a collaborative digital sotrybook with Yodio concerning what they learned about the animals on the trip. Each parent chaperone has a group of four or five students, who take turns calling in to the yodio phone number (on the parent chaperone's phone) and recording their observations about an animal, perhaps even capturing the animal's sound. Students also take a picture of their chosen animal with the cell phone. Back at school, the students log in to Yodio and create a digital sotrybook combining their recorded narrations and photos.
